If you had a choice of the 5, who would you prefer the Giants getting ?

Sign Outfielder / DH Jorge Soler
Sign 3rd baseman Chapman
Sign Outfielder Bellinger
Trade for SS Willy Adames
Trade for Pads SS Ha-Seong Kim ( I know very unlikely but if we could swing it without giving up most of the farm)

This list is not including pitchers of course, there might be someone else but I can’t think of who that might be :ohwell:
Adames, and include Peralta in the deal.

The asking price for those two is going to be pretty steep. I still think Adames is overrated. His OPS+ last year was below league average. Of course, he was above average the prior two seasons so maybe its good he wasn't really good last year as that may lower the asking price on him. Still, adding Peralta is going to make it a pretty big return for Milwaukee.

If they're committed to Lucy, then I'd get Peralta alone. And yes, he'd take Whiz, Bart and another prospect.

I'd do it. I would NOT get Snell

Per MLBTR, Soler is looking for 3 years and the Giants are unwilling to go more than 2 years.

And it suggests the Giants are not the only ones balking at a 3rd year on the contract. Sounds like a game of chicken with Soler and the teams who want his services. Who will flinch first?

This makes sense as to why it’s moving so slowly then. And a 3 year contract would make him harder to “flip” at this years trade deadline.

It won't be FZ, as he rarely gives out long term deals.

Free-agent reliever Amir Garrett in agreement on a minor-league contract with the San Francisco Giants, sources say. The deal, which includes an invite to spring training, would pay $1.35 million if he’s in the majors.

He looks like a lower-end bully guy. Nice for a NRI.

Also, Barrett is a Boras dude. Prelude to getting Monty?

A boy can hope.

Jorge Soler has agreed to a three-year deal with the Giants I’m told.

I guess we'll see the terms but I'm a little surprised.
I see it only coming from her. She is reliable, so I fully expect it to be confirmed soon, but until we get more reports, I will hold off adding him to the current roster thread.

It’s called journalistic integrity, bitches!
