Seriously what team would want a high cap hit goalie who isn’t playing very well? Not sure how far experience can take you in the playoffs. Best case have a feeling the Jackets will have to retain salary and Quick goes somewhere as insurance only.

Also do you think Arizona will want the Kings conditional pick or the Jackets 1st rounder?

If the Jackets is it worth the gamble to give up that pick for a chance at winning the lottery for Bedard?
man, how the hell are the Kings in a playoff spot with that goaltending.
Didn't realize it was so bad (as they always seem to clamp it down against the Canucks - first game this year was a shutout for Quick)

three goalies, not one of them above 0.900

There's only 9 teams above them in team sv% in the west. One of them is Nashville who can't score, another is Calgary who can't score and start every game down 0-1 thanks to Marky.

The west is really, really bad. It's kinda crazy that all these teams out east are in an arms race and these teams in the west are just chilling as if they can't make a trade or two and probably sweep into the Final with a 12-2 record. I have no idea what Vegas is waiting for. Dallas needs something to happen because Marchment and Pavelski were supposed to help them score goals and keep games in check but they're doing neither. Minny was more interested in playing third party broker all month. I guess the Avs need clarity on Landeskog and EJ but if you aren't pushing all in when you're defending champ I'm not sure what you're doing.

Maybe the LA move will wake them all up.

I have this weird unfounded sense that Canucks trade Demko to the Kings still ... and Korpisalo comes this way ... one rumour was Demko was going to the Kings for Quick + ... maybe Ian Clark and Marko Torenius have called their shot and Korpisalo to the Kings was the first domino

I WONDER!!!!

Capitals will receive a 2025 second-round pick in return, and retain 31% of Eller’s contract

I get that Boeser's contract is tough to move but it is a lot easier than JT Millers.

It's still a lot for a goalscorer who doesn't score, and even if Vancouver is eating 50% (and it seems that they very much do not want to do that) it's still $3.3 mil for a goalscorer who doesn't score.

If we retain 50% and someone else retains the other 50% they would still be over cap.

Was either going to be Eller or Mantha. Eller was seen as having a better ROI (or Mantha’s a bust).
