Apparently Quick is pissed and the rest of the team is as well. Not sure what Blake was thinking when the Jackets would have probably accepted a second rounder or literally almost anything else in addition to the first, which Jarmo apparently wants to ship toward Chychrun.

Quick will never play a game for us, and now I don't know if I want to trade the first because it might wind up another lottery ball or at least top half pick.

There ya go. First and a third. I would have taken that straight up for those two at this point because Boston's 1st and third were the basis for the rumored deal for Chychrun. Jackets would have needed to add a piece (First or first round talent), but now we're there, and with a pick that stands to be more valuable than Boston's anyway. Quick matters not. Send him to Phoenix too. Don't care.

Sad day in Smashville yesterday with this news. Popular player, not sure I would say he was having a "career" year but still a solid D. The eyes say he has regressed some from prior years, which is to be expected at 32. For us, we got some good return plus got a contract that will be BAD very soon off the books. For a team paying RyJo and Duchene $8M each, the cap situation is surprisingly not bleak.

Hope Ekkie (drives me crazy when the fans yell that) wins a Cup this year. I may have a small financial investment on it.....
