Agreed. They simply believed that they didn't have better. I would have much rather seen Mark Robinson struggle in coverage than Spillane.

I'd rather see this guy start than Bush. We gave Bush a chance. Deal him. Someone else needs to be starting, and that won't happen as long as Bush is on the roster.
Bush is a FA now since they didn't pick up his 5th year. I'm sure he'll be an April signing. Sure hope the Steelers aren't interested in re-signing him for cheap.

Once Kazee was healthy, Maulet's snap counts drastically decreased... Another reason why I think SS is still a need if they don't re-sign Edmunds. I'd much rather have Kazee in there over Maulet
Kazee might end up being our starting SS this season.
Had a feeling either Minkah or TJ would restructure with how tight things looked. But it would have been nice had they done this 2 weeks ago. They could have made a play for a lot of these affordable FA contracts being thrown around to big names.
With Kazee possibly elevated to starting safety, Norwood is the other option for Slot/3rd Safety play.
Not gonna lie, Norwood regressed last year after a promising rookie campaign. Not sure what changed for him, but he looked more like a liability last year.
He did, but there is still more long-term promise in him than in Maulet.
