@SteelersPride - we discussed this a few times... we knew this from KP's Pitt days that this dude is just different when it comes to being a leader. It comes so natural to him and we knew it would only be a matter of time before he earned the role. People are just drawn towards him. The way he earns & cultures respect within the lockerroom; not only for himself but also plays a big role in bringing everyone together. He's flat out contagious.

The best thing about this is KP was brought in with a very young nucleus so these guys are all learning & growing together and the process is so much more organic. I absolutely love the timing of everything with this transition/rebuild. Only gripes I have is they were a year or 2 behind with rebuilding the OL to set the foundation, and their poor choice in OC.

I can admire the mindset to be great, but probably doesn't need this sort of exposure... he just didn't have the volume to even be on the radar of pro bowl snub.

Not a big fan of Leal being labeled a tweener DL. But 290 is still a big frame. Heyward played between 285-300 his entire career IIRC. I still want Leal to be a big piece of the DL rebuild. Him & Benton should be the pieces they need to build around for life after Cam down the road.
