Can’t begrudge a man for that.

Being an assistant in a great situation is simply a better lifestyle than being head in a lousy one.

Not saying Charlotte is a lousy situation, it doesn’t appear to be. But good for Atkinson for making the choice that is best for his family.

how much should the warriors give wiggins?
He's signed for one more year so the question is for after next year. It's a tough one. Does he deserve a max? Maybe? How much of what we see is due to the environment? I could see him agreeing to sign an extension for less than he'd get on the market, knowing that he's in exactly the right place.

He made $31 mil this year, $33 mil next. That looked like a shitty contract, not so much anymore. Maybe $35 mil per for a few years?

How so? They are both under contract next year.

Cant negotiate during the season i assume. Huge risk they would take by going into next summer without a contract ext for at least one of them

Sure, if they'll take Westbrook

Only reason for the Wiz to do it would be they are blowing it up, still want someone fans will watch and want the cap space and first round picks. But the Lakers only have their '27 and '29 picks...the Wiz can get picks that they can use sooner from other teams.
