Tim Twentyman is employed by the Lions, every article he does is postive.

Thanks for the information concerning Tim and his motivation. Every now and then propaganda will hold a kernel of truth.

Oh for sure, you might get something out of it, but I don't give it much weight or interest.

Buggs was arrested for domestic violence and burglary. Sorry to see this turn in his life. Glad to see he had been released from the Lions and picked up by the Chiefs before these off field issues occurred. Hope things turn around for him.

Aiyuk formally requested a trade supposedly.

WR is still an area of need for the Lions.

Lions are supposedly one of the teams with the highest cap space from what I'm hearing. And Aiyuk wouldn't accept a trade without a new contract I'm sure.

Plus 49ers are obviously one of our biggest expected competitors if Lions stay super bowl contenders. So taking one of their weapons would be a nice bonus. Making us stronger and them weaker.

All signs point to it making sense to at least explore trading for him....

Am I the only one that doesn't really care for the idea? If he came for free I'm not even sure I'd want to pay him. He wants more than ARSB, I don't think you could slap your own player in the face like that. But even if he accepted slightly less than that, but near that same level I'm not sure. But adding on trade value, I'm not sure I'd even give up a second round pick and the 30 million a year or whatever. And I don't know that SF would accept a second round pick.

What do other people think.

You’re not alone. It’s not getting the 53 best players, it’s getting the 53 that make the best team. I’ll trust that Mr. Holmes knows what he’s doing when it comes to acquiring the right personnel.

The Lions defense isn't just going to improve.

Top five defense.

The Lions will win the Superbowl unless Dan Campbell's ego gets in the way.

This should be the year. The number of good pieces returning in all phases of the operation is impressive. Brad has a history of making solid draft picks; if this year’s CB additions pan out, he’ll have methodically revitalized this organization.

SOL? Nope. I think Dan and the coaching staff have really grown with each season. They seem to be getting the best out of what they have. Not that I’ll agree with every call, but I’m not screaming at the television quite as much as I did with regimes gone bye.

Now if the zebras start seeing the same game as the rest of us, the Lions might just go all the way!

Maybe they bring back the Michigan Kicker. Gonna probably need one on the PS. Although I hate to waste a PS spot on one I guess it can be justified with the expansion these days.

Decker gets a three year extension. Another top position player for Detroit not re-setting the market, yet getting paid commensurately with their production and without any outward animosity. Brad Holmes and company showing once again how to run a successful organization.

Decker Signs $60 Million Extension

Who are these guys? Now SOL has a whole new meaning.

Green Bay signed him.

Just go sign Robbie Gould. What a shame it would be to waste a superbowl push on a kicker who's never kicked before so that Campbell has a built-in excuse to go for it on 4th and 3 from the 30.

Go invest in a top notch kicker.

Agreed. It is a week and a half to the first preseason game. Get his ass in here. Even if Bates out kicks him at least there is a connection made in case of injury.

Gould "retired" in December after not being signed, and is now coaching high school. But you know he's been staying ready. He's as good as they come.

Good to see.

We weren’t going to get anyone that is an upgrade for less than his extension. And he seems to still be in his prime.

Just saw this today. The agent part was cutesy I don't really care about that. But they buried the lead there IMO. Decker went straight to "The Man" he said. Straight to Dan Campbell instead of talking to his own agents or going to the front office guys. He went to MCDC. And Dan told him how things were. And Decker was happy. Apparently Campbell has told the team in meetings and stuff if you want to just let your agents do their thing or whatever that's fine. But if you ever have any questions you can come straight to me. Well Decker did and he was being honest.

I just imagine that's the kind of thing that will quietly spread among the players. "Hey, you hear about Detroit? They can just talk to their coach and he'll tell you what's going on with the contract stuff." Most of us will read articles like that one and not realize what a big deal it was. But I guarantee that kind of stuff means something to players. Especially any of those platers who have hone through a round of contract stuff.
