I still have issues with his age.

Right now, I'm for using premium picks on the big boys, not the flashy picks. We'll see later in the offseason.
Recently the Steelers have been using high end picks on positions with shallow pools. If DL is deep, they will wait to take one.

Bummer. His IR is supposedly short-term so hopefully he comes back.

Tyler Linderbaum in the first next year.
With najees progression, he should continue to cure the line woes. No need to waste capitol on lineman.

Dudes a beast. Rare center worth that. But i doubt it after they took green, and still talk him up. Unless they kick green over. But then thats admitting a mistake again, and I doubt they will yet.

Just following the beat writer and steeler fan narrative thats all.
I'll have to wait & see how the big boards shake out in February, but I still have the OL near the top of my wishlist next year. After bandaiding the OL this year they clearly need to rebuild the right way. Green ain't it, and its fair to question whether a position change would even help. If that's admitting a mistake then so be it. I don't want them to arrogantly continue to force bad players onto the field with promises of better outcomes.

Starting Green at Center is a mistake. I think he might pan out at Guard. But I have seen enough of a guard drafted to play center to know he needs to be a guard.

Draft Linderbaum and he becomes the anchor of the line, and competent play will radiate out from him. That means Dotson can continue to just be the best LG he can be. And it lets Green compete for RG, or at least be a decent backup OG for a year or two.

He was thrown in to start at a position he doesn't belong because there were no other competent bodies available.

Linderbaum, even in a trade-up to make sure they get him, is gonna be worth it. Najee is going to need someone like him, and so will whoever takes over for Ben. The game all starts with the OC, and this Steelers team has wisely always put a premium on having excellence there.

Ebron with MCL injury. Likely done for the season.

Now if he makes it all the way to the Steelers on the waiver wire you better claim him and cut bait on the crappy backup RB's they have.

I know you aren't 100% serious, but on both points sadly seem to be the way the Steelers think, not only the Steelers beat writers.

Im 0% serious. WE NEED A LINE. The steelers have invested in it before. Our line was all top draft picks, they just got old. But yes, its flawed thought.

In regards to Lindsay. bring em in. Somethings up though, he was doing very well in denver and they cut bait, not even as a backup. He had no real free agency interest, again for a guy that was doing well. Not sure what the story is, or if he got hurt and just never came back the same.

Oh I know you weren't serious at all, was being facetious. :D If they don't fix the o-line, drafting any QB/RB/WR early is pointless.

As for Lindsey something has to be up? He got the RFA tender from the Broncos, then they recinded it and the only deal he got in the offseason was from the Texans for essentially nothing. Then used sparingly, had no takers in a deadline deal and then cut him loose.

Even with all that went on I still think he is worth the gamble over giving a team with a better record in the AFC an opportunity.

I dont disagree, but we would have to give up a draft pick to claim him

Oh that’s right. I doubt they make the claim then especially if they are in risk of losing the Bud Dupree pick.
