Kind of excited to see Norwood at FS, if Minkah misses the game.
Minkah has Covid now. With 2, we should expect others.
I say start Tre at FS.

How does he compare to other FS though?
That's a good point. Open field tackling is the most difficult thing to be asked to do, outside of covering a receiver in man coverage. How does he compare to other FS though?
I bet if someone looked at all the other starting CF Free Safeties, you'd find something similar. Look at who he is missing, it's RB's mostly. If he's being asked to tackle an RB, the front 7 failed at their job already.
Well he followed the career path of Sam Darnold (Jets -> Panthers) and couldn't beat him out.......

I thought he was 23?Biggest knock is he's 24.
That's old. He might be near his ceiling.
So, I'll say I'm still undecided at least. Lots of things to happen between now and the draft.
Hell, the average career for an NFL starting quarterback is 4.5 years... And a 1st RD QB "bust rate" is hovering around 60%.I thought he was 23?
I'm unconcerned with his age. Quarterbacks play until they are 40.
Unvaxxed too. He gone this week. This game is shaping up to be a primetime preseason matchup. This evens things out a little bit.
Outside of the Bears game, Maulet hasn't been too terrible. He looked pretty good earlier in the season. I think he's miscast in the slot & teams have learned how to expose him. IIRC he used to play safety for the Jets before coming here. I think they are trying to hold onto the "mini LB" idea that Hilton afforded them. A physical presence in the slot. Problem is their slot guys they currently have just aren't as good in coverage.I am guessing he had injury issues all season?
Not sure why the Steelers don't take a look at him and cut bait with players like Maulet.

I'd love it if they tried Norwood, Sutton or Haden in the slot more.
Whaaat, Aditi's "unbiased" reporting is inaccurate again?????Highsmith calls bullshit on Aditi's reporting about Haskins.

Kenny Pickett....... @SteelersPride & I will reserve you a seat on the hype trainTuitt:
The draft for DT's is DEEP this year. Time to find his replacement and get someone we can count on DL. What happened with the Lions is inexcusable, and that starts upfront.
Time to move on. He's a china doll. And can't continue to use the excuse of his brother. People get time off for this kind of thing, but no employer lets you take this much time off. It happened June 2.
NT and DE, along with OC are at the tip tippy top of the list for me in the draft. Build the lines. They have critical failures.
Most of the QB's in this draft aren't worth their expected position. Give me Cole Kelley or Will Levis later.
That's my early line in the sand.
I still have issues with his age.Kenny Pickett....... @SteelersPride & I will reserve you a seat on the hype train
