Credible rumors say Lions trying to get deal done w Fairley right now. I know this board thinks he's a big, lazy, stupid, easily replaceable slob, but I love him. I'd be happy (happier) after first hearing he was gone to Indy.

I cant help but laugh at that. Which Detroit beat writer posted the article on not overpaying for Fairley just because of the loss of Suh? When can we expect his apology article saying The Clown Show did the right thing?

Are there rumors about any player that isn't a bottom feeder nut sucker on another team that we are pursuing?

Swarm, you must admit that Fairley has been highly inconsistent in his on-field performance since being drafted.

that is "the most" talked about when it comes to Fairley. you'd think playing next to Suh, he'd have learned to be much better already than what he's showed to date. at least that is my thought process. he should have wanted to be as good, if not better than Suh, full well knowing he could have been in line for a HUGE PAYDAY this go around. all jmo.....

Lions re-signed LB Josh Bynes.

Bynes, who wasn't tendered as a restricted free agent, has some run-stuffing appeal as an inside linebacker. He's a Teryl Austin favorite.

I liked when they brought on Bynes. I thought he played well in what little snaps he had but the 1 area he did stand out, imo, was ST. good signing, just not a notoriety type.

The Raiders are not pursuing free agent DT Terrance Knighton.

Knighton says both Oakland and Denver are "out of the race" for his services. He says he was low-balled by Oakland. Knighton appears frustrated and surprised by his slow-developing market. Perhaps Oakland or Denver will eventually swoop in and buy low. Knighton has also been connected to the Redskins, Colts and Bears.
