Its a good event, plan on lots of walking. Like all over the ballpark. I go every year and it is much better at the park than at the Arlington Convention Center, aside from how far apart most of the signings are. The fast pass is great if you don't mind spending the dough. So far the players listed are Elvis Andrus, Adrian Beltre, SS Choo, Prince Fielder and Pudge. Without the Fast pass you will be able to stand in lines for a couple autograph sessions and the lines are quite long, so there is only a chance for a handful of the big league guys maybe, and then the young guys that participate. Lots of fun, let me know if I can answer anything else in particular

I went ahead and got a fast pass. Tried to talk myself out of it and was unsuccessful. Thanks for the info!

Hey guys - new to the forum. Found it looking for info on the Rangers Fan Fest. Never been before, and I was wondering what to expect from it, as far as the autograph scene goes. Considering a Fast Pass but not sure at this point.

Welcom aboard.:yahoo:

If you don't mind me asking - where did you get your avatar pic from? Reason I ask is that I'm the guy that created it originally.

I'm pretty sure I found it on twitter... was either there or google. lol

Welcome aboard. :suds:

Evan Grant's #7 prospect is Ryan Rua.

Texas Rangers No. 7 prospect Ryan Rua has wide open path to big league job | Dallas Morning News
While the sample size was significantly smaller, Rua’s .740 OPS was greater than that of Alex Rios (.709), who made $11 million in 2014. The Rangers feel Rua can push towards .800 or slightly above and that most of the free agents left on the market would likely see their own numbers recede. As a result, he will get every opportunity to be the regular left fielder for 2015.

No problem, hope you have a good time. Kinda wish I had talked myself out of the second one myself. Oh well, I will figure it out

Alexi Ogando apparently produced solid results in his recent workout, with Peter Gammons of GammonsDaily.com tweeting that scouts were impressed. The Red Sox and Dodgers are “aggressive” on Ogando, Gammons adds.

I'm not sorry to see Ogando go. He just got too brittle.

He's always had such an unusual delivery and it puts so much stress on his body it's small wonder he can't stay healthy.

However, when he's healthy he's very productive. But when he refused to throw in winter ball he left the Rangers with no alternative but to move on.

I loved him most as the 7th/8th inning man.

Romeo would know the answer to this question I think: Which puts more stress on a pitchers arm, starting every 5th day and throwing 100 pitches, or warming-up/pitching 3/4 times a week and throwing max but with few pitches?

I always felt that moving him to the rotation was a mistake. He owned the 7th inning.
