Don't blame the Padres one bit. Kemp is deteriorating.

But from what I understand the trade was made anyway and nothing really changed in the trade. So it really did not amount to a hill of beans.
I agree.
When there was some chatter here about us getting him, I wanted no part of it, and that was before this discovery.
Actually, I've liked Kemp and when healthy he's a game changer. But he'll never be healthy again.
They're figuring that Myers has the legs to do it
They're going to get really bad defense in CF whoever ends up there, and which Myers do they get offensively? 2013 Myers or 2014 Myers?
Not to mention Kemp will be bad defensively no matter where he plays, I see Padres pitchers getting nickel and dimed all year due to bad OF defense
Yeah, not sure AJ is doing the right thing here. Giving up some youth for sexy moves that are aging/health risks and as you all state below average on those who will be their COFs.
Upton and Myers make sense in LF & RF, Kemp not so much

Scott is a nice guy, hope he finds good fortune in Baltimore. Best of luck
He might be a better hitting coach than the one we currently have.
report is that the Padres are talking to the Phillies about a trade for Hamels with Myers being the centerpiece of the Padres offer
Preller is over there doing work. He's at the least exciting the fans. Only time will tell whether they can compete in that division. Myers for Hamels would be a great trade for the Padres, IMO.
it would be a major deal for SD, too bad we seem to be just going thru the motions
