As far as anyone knows, is Harrison expected back at 100% for ST?

The reason I ask is ESPN's Buster Olney had an article today ranking the top 4 teams set up to make some positive trades in the off season. He had the Rangers 4th, and noted "the Rangers are looking to add a #1 or #2 type starter to go with Darvish. They are pretty much set with Holland, Perez and Ogando in the other three spots." Couldn't really understand why he didn't mention Harrison.

I have to think Harrison is a question mark. He sorta has to prove himself fit after three operations IMO. Personally, I think he'll be fine but has gotta be an unknown to a lot of people. I'm sure I couldn't come back to throw after two back operations.

I'm not talking about Ruiz, that guy was 1 year wonder, solid catcher but meh and really old

I was talking about trading for a catcher, the 2nd part of the statement

Ruiz has hit for a very good average the 3 previous seasons (302/283/325) before struggling this season. He's 34, and I'm not talking about long term. But 2 years at a reasonable contract would be a very fine move for the Rangers.

No way JD is not going to improve this team, or have another 'meh' offseason. I'm calling it now (I don't care what he's saying or said....like he's trying to temper expectations), he's going to make a lot of fans very happy

all he said is that right now Soto is the starter tomorrow someone else could be

I disagree, nothing impresses me about him, plus I'd rather have a defensive minded backup, not offensive

I like the St. Louis trade talk referred to hear. Miller and Adams for Profar +. Any smoke there, Lainey? We may make more hay in trades than free agency.

You may be right on. I read after he had the second surgery one of the surgeons involved said, they thought he'd be fine, as far as resuming his career.

I sure hope so. And just from a business standpoint, we're committed to an awful lot of money ($57 mil from 2012-17). And he's a very good (hope not was) pitcher, nice guy, and a bulldog on the mound.

Is there a really a difference between the 2, Rev?

Well I tried to edit the first, so maybe it made both the same. If so then no. But the first I posted and the second aren't the same song. Just the same title.

Did you see my dedication to your commanding CF play?

OK....but 302/283/325 is not one good year.

I'm with ya on the defensive end. But, this said, if Soto is our #1 and catches 120+ games, Ruiz would be fine for 30 or so, and his bat would help off the bench, late innings, DH.
