The article made a good point I hadn't really considered about tanaka. If we were willing to put forward 20 mil (which I'm sure we would) not only would we have a huge advantage to signing him with darvish's success and our extra money to blow, but we would be able to trade any of our other pitchers. It makes our entire rotation, besides darvish, expendable. That would be terrific, because every single one of our pitchers has a club friendly deal and is much more valuable than the $$ would indicate. Also, none of them are even out of their 20's yet.

I dunno if Darvish being on the roster would matter at all to Tanaka or his agent. But if we were to sign him, I don't see the point in trading a young talented lefty that's signed to a friendly contract. Keep the young rotation together and trade from the farm.

I just don't know exactly what to do about that, people have mentioned Gardener but Im not sure on him and he's a FA after the year anyway. Im sure JD has a better idea of the options than I do but will he make a move or let Wash anoint a guy that really hasn't showed he can get on base much the leadoff guy before ST

Wash is a moron. I think jd knows this.

I'll check with Santa but he's heading to the winter meetings himself. Daniels needs all the help ;)

Stanford vs Michigan State may just be a damn good bowl game though I'm not a fan of either

Damn, burning bridges! That story makes the Seattle org look like a bunch of stooges.

After the other article below where they outbid themselves to give Cano another year and more money, dumbasses

Tough to say. I do think the organization is high on Leonys and they seem committed to give him his chance to take over the leadoff spot and everyday CF'er and they'll be willing to let him take his lumps he needs to. If there is a deal to be made I think Texas is always listening. Not sure on Gardener...very nice player but doubt the Yankees would trade him to Texas.

MSU/OSU was a great game. I certainly did not think OSU would lose the game but I'd seen 3 of 4 MSU games this season and they were no walk in the park. That defense is stellar and would be able to contain just about any offense in the nation. I don't mind seeing OSU and Meyer lose. Either way I don't think any of this matters because FSU was going to beat the shit out of whoever they played anyways IMO.

I know they are high on Leonys and I think he will turn into a great player but i don't think he needs any added pressure. Let him succeed batting lower in the order and then if he's proven to be better at getting on base you can move him up to the top. You need a guy that is proven he can get on base batting at the top of the lineup if you are trying to win and give your middle of the order guys a chance to drive in runs. He may win the job out of ST and never look back and Ill eat crow, we will see
