Good!!!!! College football tomorrow. Need a break from this offseason.... Been getting bad news all week. JD is a smart guy and the winter meetings last a few days. I'm trying not to get discouraged, but Choo and Cruz seem to be the only decent hitters left on the market. JD needs to at least get 1 more bat before the season. I'm sure he knows this. I still think we'll do something.

That new stadium topic is not far away. The lease expires in 10 years I believe. At that point a retractable roof will be inevitable as will a new stadium The key thing should be is where will it be. I don't think Arlington is the best place for it.

I never expected him back, and posted so several times

He loved it here but he probably loved it in Boston as well. After all when you win the WS there's nothing but great vibes and thoughts. And he may have not felt as inclined in coming back as before given the amount of change and turnover since he was last here. I think he'll always have love this organization and have a lot of memories here.

Napoli took less money to stay in Boston. I hope the big offer he turned down wasn't Texas. If so, then I will sour on him quickly.

Why sour on him? People bitch about players bolting for every last dollar and biggest contract. Now a player is willing to and takes less money to stay one place where he recently won a championship and was an integral part of that team you get sour? Texas may have had a bigger offer but I can't imagine that it was that much more. It's also hot as shit here so that probably did enter his mind.

It's just a conversation. And although it's not that far away from the topic coming up for real it's 10 years away. I suppose whoever you have discussed it with in the past has resulted in an overly heated debate. To me tho it's just a conversation.
