you thought after the Pujhols contract, our ARod contract, teams would learn about giving out long contracts.
Moving guys a few years into these massive deals seems to be all the rage. Over under 3.5 seasons of Cano in Seattle?
If they wanna mortgage their future with Cano and Price, then by all means go a head. Cano by himself is still not enough offense. I mean losing Brendan Ryan is going to hurt...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA That last bit was nothing but sarcasm.
10yr/240.
I wish we didn't have to face him all the time, but the worst part is this puts the Yankess right back into the FA pool.
I bet the M's try to trade for Price now.
Over
The M's want to get serious and I've said this for a long time that Seattle is not afraid to spend and I wouldn't consider them "small market". I think Seattle could be a major force in a year or two.
I'm not going to dismiss the Mariners quite as fast as others, they claim they aren't even done with a Cano signing.
However, I hope others are right
Even if they do, pitching isn't their problem. Offense is. And Cano barely helps that since he has zero protection.
Did he get a guaranteed 10?
Cano barely had any protection last year
Yep. All contracts are guaranteed in baseball. There may be buyout options but based on everything I've seen I highly doubt there is anything like that.
And he's moving from that band box to Safeco.
