Settle down Scotty. They already took a big step forward with fielder and there's still plenty of time for another big move or two.

I know but they are seemingly dropping out of every FA that answer our needs.

Bob Nightengale@BNightengale [ame=""]18m[/ame] Odds where Robinson Cano will play on opening day from Bovada: #Mariners 1/1 #Rangers 2/1 #Tigers 3/1 #Yankees 5/1

Interesting we are in on him. Really very dubious.

Besides McCann, who do you speak of?

never considered Ellsbury but i'm hearing now that the Rangers are out on Choo & Beltran which doesn't leave any COF's that serve our needs. and unless the Dodgers are picking up big bucks i don't see us involved with any of their OF'ers

No I said Ellsbury

Any meetings set up for today, Terps, that you may know of? JD still talking to LAD? I'm sure after Ellsbury signed, Choo won't be to far behind.

I'm fully expecting for Murphy, Gentry and Kinsler to all have decent to good seasons this year.

Actually, I hope so. IMO there shouldn't be anything but well wishes and warm responses when they come visiting. Wishing nothing bust success, except for the X number of times they play against us. haha

Exactly, I can't root against these guys, it's unnatural.
except against us, obviously. Then I just root for them to have bad games, or harmless hits

Not that I have heard about.

I'm sure some of their deals could be discussed during the winter meetings. That's why they have them, I suppose. It'd be funny every deal was already made and all these GM would be over there enjoying the rides.

for the last month i've been arguing that we shouldn't believe that the Rangers were going to stick to JD's comment about payroll for 2014 coming in at or just below last year's but now i am becoming more convinced that we are seeing the Ranger's plan which seems to be what everyone else was saying that the Rangers are taking a step or two backwards.

I think a lot of our anxiety is based on last year and the disappointment, and then of course another 2nd place finish.
The Fielder trade was great, but he's got to get another bat....he will, I can't imagine he's done already.

I'm hearing Shin Soo Choo deal likely to go over 100 million. Don't know if its worth it at that point

However, one gets to think it will be done by trade and not through free agency. Unless it's Cruz (if his price comes down due to his familiarity with Texas). Not sure why this is but it may have a lot to do with draft picks.

Lol morons on ESPN are tying to predict the total number of homers lost already from the lineup. Man they are thick headed and ignorant. The damn roster isn't even set.
