Don't believe he'll ever touch Cano status.

no, and if fairness too him...he's never been projected to be that type.
People need to chill on the Rook, Andrus with a better bat is a better comparison. Hopefully he can steal like Andrus someday

Most here seem to know what Profar will be based on last season.
I bow to the perceived greatness in all that.

I still see the swing and make up. Something tells me the Rangers do as well.

I didn't say anything about the Rangers signing him. I was just saying that supposedly the Yankees have given their final offer to him.

it will be interesting.
I'm sticking with 5-6 years, 25-27mill/year, maybe option a 7, and give him a NT.
(probably 6-7)

I don't think the Yanks want to sign a huge contract, I don't think anyone does

that just isn't true, he didn't hit well last year, and I've already said a long time ago, I'm throwing that out because he didn't get consistent time
I think he'll be better with regular PA's

You are predicting just like everyone else. The difference is you think he will hit .300. So based on his .230 AVG last season you believe he'll be an All Star.

I don't need to read a scouting report. Profar did not show any ability to be a threat on the bases. He doesn't have great speed.

Speed and stealing are not same-same. Speed always helps - like they say, "size and speed can't be taught" - but you don't have to be blazing to be a decent BS.

No he won't, he's not going to have Kinsler like power and not going to steal 25 plus. It's not even been projected. If he does, then I will eat my words HAPPILY. I'm actually trying to defend Profar, you're projecting too much for him, especially at his age.

you do understand the difference between the value at SS and 2nd? because if you don't, this is pointless

No, there are players that are just instinctively better baserunners, they can read the ball of the bat well, and they can gauge how aggressive they can be. That is very tough to teach.

Profar may have it, I don't know yet....but usually it's something you see very early
