Beltran really is the only one I like in the 3 hole. I wish we would have moved on CarGo last year. Even if we could get Miami to budge on Stanton I wouldn't put him in the 3 hole.

If we signed Choo, which I don't see happening, we could move Ian to the 3 hole. I'm not a fan of that either.

I wonder if we've shown any interest in Billy Butler?

understand that JD has minimal interest in Butler. they are looking for production on both sides, offensive and defensive.

still think our best possible lineup would be:

Kinsler
Andrus
Beltran
Beltre
McCann
Cruz
Rios
Moreland
Martin

you seem to be assuming a lot. JD said he would listen to offers on all 3 but no where did he say anything about actually trading any of them. matter of fact the last thing i hear from him was that the Rangers were looking to keep all three.

i am content with him staying or going whatever JD thinks improves the team but you have decided that he has to go even if the Rangers have to take it in the shorts to get rid of him.

JD isn't going to come out and say that he will trade one of them. That's just not smart business. That gives every club the idea that they can low ball for them. I think we would all be surprised if all 3 are here in ST.

That's funny....You just described yourself to a tee with regards to butt hurt over stated opinions.

If you had half a clue about me as a poster, which you clearly don't, I care less about board acceptance, and frankly, find it funny that you would even go there. I understand you do subscribe to a buddy system when deflecting opposing opinions. I also know your proven rants here when your feelings get hurt. Yes Sir.....described yourself to the tee

really dude....try to ignore the posts, you remain an ass whip

And here we have his only other defense mechanism. Claim that the poster disagreeing with him is exactly what he has just been criticized about. Seriously dude, get new material.

lainey makes three

say, should my feelings be hurt?

Doesn't matter if your feelings are hurt or not. People are rolling their eyes at you all the same. I've never understood people who continue to hang out where they're not wanted.

But yet he has no qualms with criticizing you for not being open to him challenging your opinion. :lame:
Some folks like attention instead of taking part in an honest discussion. Most of these discussions are based on opinions and should not be taken so seriously.

I'd much rather have Choo than Beltran, I really wanted him to be pursued this off season til I heard Boras was going to see 7 years and 100 million, pass big time on just about anyone at that price

I said close to the same a few pages back. I would have loved to sign him at around 4/56, but anything over 65-70 and it's too much. Hell, 56 is probably too much.

PD doesn't like having his opinion challenged. i just don't agree with him and he has taken it personal

doesn't matter, you're right.
JD is not going to trade him unless he can get back at least equal production, ideally more

I don't think the point is to downgrade the offense, and Kinsler is still a top producer on the team.

very true.....others can also defend their points.
Mine have been made over Kinsler vs Profar and it hurts someone other than me

I was called to this discussion with my name mentioned and the statement was wrong.
:yahoo:

or is it?

Choo would be great but no way are we going to get him at 4 years $56M. i would expect that it will take at least 100M
