I may be Berkman gun-shy, but the potential signing of Beltran concerns me; probably more than it should.

Michael Scott, writer for Fox Sports Detroit, proposed the following trade: Max Scherzer for either EA or Profar and a promising minor league pitcher.

Would anyone make this deal? Keep in mind, Scherzer will be a FA after next season.

No to Scherzer on that deal

The question was about Andrus, but the Dodgers also just signed the Cuban kid for a good amount of money

I wasn't responding to Andrus for Kemp. I would trade Ian for Kemp, which is what I said.
Do you just go back through the comments and pick out something to argue about?

Then why quote me when my response was about an Andrus for Kemp deal? doesn't make sense, seems you were the one trying to start something there

But my quote, the one you quoted was, so it doesn't make sense... I also didn't mention Kinsler, so why would you make that leap?

It wasn't a leap. I was saying I would trade Ian for Kemp. As I did on page 190, before you even brought it up.

I don't think the one I quoted said Andrus either. Can't find it though.

yeah, why would you trade Kinsler for a injury-prone player who has only played 106 and 73 games the last 2 years and is owed $129.50M thru 2019?

He has been hurt the past 2 years. The years before he wasn't, and should have been MVP. We have a logjam in the middle infield, and Ian is overpaid. We need a COFer and big bats. Pending a physical, I'd be willing to take the risk. It allows us to keep Profar and EA. If the Dodgers were to pick up a lot of the salary then yeah, I would.

Yes, I know the Dodgers signed Guerrero, but I think I read somewhere that he might not even be MLB ready.
