JD doesn't strike me as a guy who gives a shit what the casual fan thinks of a given move makes the team better.

I would lose my shit if EA were traded to the Cardinals. And I don't have much shit left to lose...

They're just trying to fuck things up. They're not really ggoing to pay him. That only works if you're actually a threat to sign top FA's.

Absolutely, yes it would piss me off to no end for the rest of the time Elvis played baseball. That and it's not going to happen. He may listen to all offers for Elvis, but I do not see him trading him this year.

Like I said earlier, I think the trade would have to blow him away, and I don't see it happening. I like Elvis and what he brings a lot, but he's not going to bring back Miller, Adams, and Taveras. Tulo would, not EA

I try not to get myself to tied up with a player if it improves the team. I remember fans getting upset when there was talk of trading Greer for a young Andy Pettite and and unknown Jorge Posada. I was like do it. We can replace an OF. I was ticked when it did not happen and I loved Greer and his hustle.

i think that if JD sees a trade that he thinks will improve the team in the long run he would trade anyone on the roster

I see the Orioles are willing to trade Matt Wieters. Not saying we should go after him because they will want too much. But he was there big thing coming up a few years ago.

Elvis the player and value is no comparison to Greer back then, but I'd consider EA for a young Pettite and a Posada IF that comes around

I would do EA+spec for Miller, Craig, and Taveras in a heart beat.....we would filled 3 holes with very solid talent, not to mention we have a viable replacement for EA waiting in the wings in Profar. I know EA is a fan favorite, but ticket sales will not go down if he is traded. Plus baseball fans will know how greatly that trade would improve the team.

Absolutely no way Andrus brings that kind of haul from the Cardinals. JD would be lucky to get Miller and Adams. No way Cardinals trade Taveras and no way they through in Craig to any deal involving Andrus.
