Lol "If a big guy like me and leg out a triple, then I know you can (insert name here)."

But hopefully do not hurt themselves in the process of running/jogging/fast walking to 3rd. That was the various methods used by Benji making it to 3rd and in that order. Gotta love the guy.

I am having a hard time myself seeing Ross as a starter. He just seems to wear down easy and not sure if he really has starter's stuff once facing the lineup a 2nd or 3rd time.
I seem to remember the 2nd/3rd time through bein an issue when they were trying him as a starter in ST last year.

Because you didn't read the thread before you posted. :suds:

Ah you're right. Admittedly I mostly just try to skim through the posts on this thread since I haven't been on as often these days. Good times.

I like the shape of the supporting coaching staff. Hopefully it works out for everyone.
I'm with you. Feeling very positive about these moves. Off to a nice start and hope to see follow up from JD.

That's all these trials are about. Just taking a look see but may not work out. Long relief sounds more reasonable to me. Good to see you back on. Don't stay gone so long.

Keep seeing Ruiz and Hart's name being tossed around. Any thoughts on these guys?

I posted about hart earlier. Imagine if we could sign hart for 2 years at 15 or 16 mil, then package moreland and EA/profar? That would forsure open up wacha possibilities. We could get damn near anyone we wanted from the cardinals for that. Its not like Harts a BAD player either. He'll get 25-30 home runs and hit around .275 with an ops of around .850.

but that is if Hart can stay healthy. I also still dont think the Cards are gonna trade Wacha.

Read your post earlier. Was wondering what other opinions were because in the case of Ruiz both positive and negative things were flying around. Sounds like Hart could be a nice improvement.

Why would the Cardinals want Moreland? They already have a logjam at 1B.

Wow, I totally missed the Dave Anderson news as well. Glad to see him gone, was really glad to see him off 3B.

Trading Moreland is an obvious possibility. But as was pointed out above, the Cards don't want him, period. And to whomever....the Cardinals are not going to part with Wacha; again, period.

As much as I liked Byrd, I didn't think he was what we were looking for in the OF.

I don't know if we would get Hart, the reports I've read is that he's more than willing to give the Brewers a hometown discount, seems like that's where he'd prefer to go and I'm sure the Brewers would take him back too. But he is a good offensive option when healthy that's for sure.

I doubt JD trades Moreland unless he gets his replacement at 1B AND is given a good return, most teams want Moreland as a buy low candidate.

Ross and Ogando both are too fragile to be starters
