If Tulo was on our team he would be our best player. Just saying. He is far and away the best in the league when he's healthy. Definition of a 5 tool player. That's really hard to find at short stop.

I said 2 weeks ago that if we miss out on McCann that Navarro would be a good back-up.

MLBtraderumors: Dioner Navarro and Geovany Soto represent the best values available at catcher at the start of the free agent season, ESPN's Keith Law writes (Insider-only). Soto, of course, already re-signed with the Rangers for one year and $3.05MM. Navarro, Law writes, should get paid "backup money," but he might play like a starter. His .300/.365/.492 line in part-time duty with the Cubs in 2013 almost surely isn't sustainable, but his skill set could make him a valuable player anyway.

Gee, if I'm Tulo...do I wanna keep playing for last place or move to the Cards?

Bye Miller and Adams, Cards will get what they want.

Sick of those bastards. You will get Profar and like it. Tulo you will stay in Colorado and like it. Everyone else will congratulate Texas and St. Louis on a trade well done in and like it.

If the Cardinals make that happen, then I wish nothing but bad things for their entire organization from top to bottom from here to eternity.

yeah I'm there, this has managed to really piss me off, because it's probably going to fly. The Cards can afford him. The Rockies fans will be outraged, until they start winning more games. Winning is all that matters in the end.

I guess by "young and controllable" he meant a 29y/o 134 mill SS...not that I blame them. It's win now, they can afford it.

sigh....(which translates as all the cussing you can imagine)
and watch Boston get McMann

I'm not in a good Ranger mood

Would you guys want a healthy tulo over Andrus or jurickson?

Of course Tulo but health is an issue. I have family in Colorado and while he is a great player there was a time they made a statement that the Rockies were Tulo's team and not Helton's and it did not go well.

Plus Tulo's contract goes to the end of 2020 and whoever picks him up is responsible for the remaining 134 mill. So he would be 36 and has had over 500 at bats in only 2 out of the last 6 years.

Just read on Yahoo, 5 guys from the AP gave their opinions on where some of the FA would go, and this is what they said: (1) Two thought Cruz would stay here for 3/4 years and around $45 mil (2) Two thought McCann would sign with us for 5 @ $80 mil and (3) Two think Santana comes here for 5 @ $70.

It's just 5 guys opinions but I thought it was at least interesting. Make of it what you will.

So for what it's worth Fraley states that the Cardinals prefer Andrus over Profar. He did have some great plays in the 2011 WS.

If I were them I'd want this too. Wouldn't you?

I don't want to see Andrus go. I'll get rid of Profar any day if I had to choose between the two.

Money should not be the Cardinals problem. But if they're looking at it at all from a budgetary standpoint, Profar won't even be eligible for arbitration until 2016. FA in 2020.

But today, we've all seen what EA can do, and what he can do is pretty darn good. Just no pop in his bat at all, and this is a plus for Profar. At least from a "projected" standpoint.

Did you watch the second half of the season? Elvis found that pop. He missed out on probably 3 or 4 more homers because he hit them to the deepest part of the park instead of pulling them. It's not his job to crank out homers, but he's 25. We've not seen all EA can do. No sir.
