Is David Murphy past his prime? Is he occupying the Michael Young Memorial Millstone roster spot?

Only for a month. After an 0fer April he'll catch fire and be average.

So Perez is lost for the first month or so of the season.... huge blow for the #5 spot.

Ross is going to have to seize it or they'll have to sign Lohse.

Not worried about Lohse, I don't see us taking a chance on him at all, he's just wrong for SO MANY REASONS

So we had scouts watching Porcello, which is probably common. But now I read that we actually inquired on him.

As long as the price isn't too high, I'd rather have him than Lohse. However, i don't think we would need him for the entire season. It might give us depth to be able to move him later. So what is a fair price from you guys for Porcello? DET probably wants bullpen help, so I was thinking Grimm?

Why would DET be interested in trading Porcello?

Certainly they will ask for more than RP(s). They are going to ask for the same lineup of highly regarded prospects everyone does. Might they more likely having the conversation in order to 'mark to market' what they could get for Fister?

Question: If Porcello were already on the TEX roster would Ogando still be a RP?

Porcello own't going to happen but it give the team more options to start the season. Could open with a starting rotation of Darvish, Harrison, Holland, Porcello & Ogando

Not Rangers news, but STL Furcal out for season with TJ surgery. Can't believe he waited this long to have it, but he did. Now STL in market for SS.

I bring this up because here come all the "get Andrus" and "get Profar" rumors.

Could easily see Andrus traded here.

I don't. I think the offer would have to be far and away a "can't pass" offer, and I do not think STL is desperate enough to do that. If Andrus is traded, I think it would be after this season. STL wouldn't need him at that point.
