The BP still looks improved from last year. Dunning and Hearn were in our rotation last year. Those kids are battle tested. Ragans surprised a lot of people by looking much Improved this spring. Hernández and leclerc were unavailable much of last year. Spares like king and Barlow who blew a ton of games are gone.

The depth aint so deep any more......not signing anyone for the BP is gonna backfire.
I was hoping for one closer and was not thinking Kennedy or Smith. But the rest of the ways I thought we needed guys to step up from farm
Also did not want Sborz or King and both are out so happy about that.
With an improved SP thinking pen won’t be so taxed so I will reserve judgment for now.
Trying to buy a WS is not the route to go

But Sidenote would be nice to have some flamethrowers beside JHern

From Jeff Wilson:

Two notable pitchers will not be with an affiliate to start the season because of injuries.

The most serious injury is to right-hander Ricky Vanasco, a member of the 40-man roster who tore meniscus in his left knee on a pickoff attempt during his final spring start. He underwent surgery earlier this week, and the Rangers are hoping he will be ready by early June.

Another right-hander, Dane Acker, dealt with some shoulder soreness at the start of minor-league camp but is throwing in Arizona and should be ready to join a club by mid-April. The Rangers have discussed sending him to Frisco.

Kudos to Jeff Wilson for giving out information on Dane Acker. I have seen nothing from either Evan or Levi on this.
