What are we doing here? I like Bagent potentially as a long term backup that stays around for a while. However, I'm not huge on having a QB room of Bagent and Brett Rypien - along with a rookie QB. I would really like to get a veteran with some actual experience in there.
Much like the Detroit Lions before us last year, I believe this team to be better than half of the teams in the NFL playoffs.
I'm serious. I would take this team into the playoffs and feel confident.
Who aren't we better than?
San Fran? Baltimore? We can clearly beat the breaks off of...
I've always fantasized about this. Both of my long time leagues, the only leagues I am in. Taking down both in the same season! The DOUBLE TITLE! One lineup is pretty much set. This one - I've got some decisions to make.
QB - Goff vs DAL
RB - CMC vs WSH
RB - J. Taylor vs LV
WR - A. St. Brown...
I love this team, man. I can't even think back on a time in my life - when I didn't love the Chicago Bears. My first Bears game was the 0-4 Bears vs Barry Sanders and the Lions in 1998. We pulled off the upset. I was 6 years old. I went to the opening Week 1 game the next year with my dad vs the...
As if SOMEHOW - ONE DAY... this will magically all come together.
Holy SHIT, this guy sucks. He is AWFUL. AWFUL!
I am so done of LOSING football game after FOOTBALL game. HOW MANY FOOTBALL GAMES DO WE HAVE TO FUCKING LOSE!?
Watching this DIP SHIT, IDIOT, ASSHOLE try to figure it out...
Regardless of what you think of him and Pace. I respect how open he was and willing to reveal the process and everything behind the scenes that we've wondered about for so long. Everything that led up to, but not only, the selections of Mitch/Justin. Also, their development, pivotal moments...
Just got offered Zay Flowers in exchange for Tank Dell in a 12 team/0.5 PPR.
My WR's are pretty set outside of them after a recent trade. I have Keenan Allen, Stefon Diggs, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jordan Addison, and either Dell/Flowers depending on this trade. Oh, and I added Rashee Rice because I...
Starting with the optimistic expectations (from some/many) in the off-season, leading up to the week 1 stink bomb vs Green Bay, the stink bomb follow up at Tampa, the sheer confusion which followed last week, and then finally - our response of "apathy" in the face of adversity. Going to KC and...
Bolded are locked, so far as I'm concerned:
0.5 PPR
QB - Fields
RB1 - CMC
RB2 -
WR1 - Olave
WR2 - Jaylen Waddle
TE -
FLEX -
D/SPT - Bills
K - McManus
Potential Options -
Dameon Pierce vs IND
Joshua Kelly vs TEN
Kyren Williams vs SF
Jaylen Warren vs CLE
Roschon Johnson vs TB
Amari Cooper vs...
The merry-go-round just continues to spin at QB and it's getting very hard to be a fan of this team. I have to tell ya... after last Thursday? My will to give a fuck is at an all-time low. Which means I still really do "give a fuck"... but I'm growing tired. It is cut and dry and 100% obvious...
... is like pointing out that a baseball player has good numbers when he's thrown a fastball straight down the middle.
No shit.
The second a SINGLE excuse is made for a young QB being awful. His career is over. The SECOND that the bull shit merry-go-round of excuses begins. IT'S OVER, JOHNNY...
Okay, this isn't exactly treading new ground, but he went to a whole other level of fuckery this week...
I'm to the point where I wonder how in the hell this kid ever even fraudulently played his way onto a division 1 college football field. Much less was our first draft pick this past season...
With the play calling and offense under much scrutiny. I feel that we'll see Fields throw the ball a bit more and perhaps see some decent results on what should be a decent day on the lakefront.
Mills and company don't scare anybody. However, Lovie returning (again) just gives me bad vibes...
Starting tomorrow, we have a bit of a generous run in the schedule.
1 at KC (make up)
3 at Baltimore
3 vs Arizona
3 vs KC
7 vs teams that are well below .500 and sold off their useful pieces at the deadline. 3 vs a Baltimore team that (while admirable) also sold some pieces and have begun to...
Quick turnaround for a 2nd pre-season game. Word is that Flus will only play starters 6-8 snaps.
Might not be very exciting in terms of looking at Fields, Brisker, etc. anymore than we did last week.
What are we all looking/hoping to see? I'm pretty interested to see Velus Jones make his debut...
Just informing all of you that we are about to get on a roll heading into this stretch vs the AL Central.
You've been informed. You heard it here first. I guarantee that we win the division. I'm on vacation drinking at a pool. Good day. Farewell. Let's. Fucking. Go.
I'm telling ya... I ain't...
You guys know that I've been perpetually optimistic about the forecast for this team going back to the beginning of our rebuild when we traded Sale/Q/etc...
But... after losing TA today? Our next 9 games are on the road against TOR and TB. Then, home vs LA.
I predict we will win around 2 of...
Let's address the elephant in the room for a moment. Shall we?
Abreu is slashing .197/.272/.311 (.583 OPS). His OPS+ is 79.
We all have a warm spot in our hearts for the guy. He was here through the darkest of the dark times and stuck it out with us all the way until we emerged out of the...
vs SF - L
at GB - L
vs HOU - W
at NYG - W
at MIN - L
vs WSH - W
at NE - L
at DAL - L
vs MIA - W
vs DET - W
at ATL - W
at NYJ - W
vs GB - L
vs PHI - L
vs BUF - L
at DET - W
vs MIN - W
Schedule is damn generous. If we can stay healthy and improve as the season progresses. Maybe we can just take...
Is it just me or did this go from 0 to fucking 189 this year? This is so cringey and awful.
I feel like this really all just happened this year. It wasn't that long ago where most every pick was Goodell and then you'd get a military veteran, make a wish kid, legacy from the franchise about to...
A bleacher report article was basically speculating that KC may have interest. Stated that their 94th overall pick would be appropriate compensation. As usual, ignore the click bait Sports Mockery crap that insinuates this is close to happening...
There are definitely some things that warrant optimism about Kmet. His trajectory, though, has been rocky at times. He's had a few head scratching performances to go with his shining moments. Last year vs Arizona, for example, was just an awful showing with three drops. Two that went off his...
https://www.chicagobears.com/news/bears-hire-williams-as-defensive-coordinator-borgonzi-as-lbs-coach
As Colts defensive coordinator the past four seasons, new Bears coach Matt Eberflus worked closely with position coaches Alan Williams (defensive backs/safeties) and Dave Borgonzi (linebackers)...
