Look my fellow hawks, there are threads up here with people saying Wilson isn't that great compared to half the league, threads with Seattle peaking too soon, blah blah blah... A couple of months ago it was Seattle isn't that good and will fade fast, when I dared to tell them the road to HFA would come through Seattle and the Saints game would be big we were told we were complete idiots and that Seattle would be done by then... Go back farther and other fans were saying SF was better and Kaepernick was way better than Wilson....

Doesn't matter what we do, the same folks will find a way to dump on us. Their words are proven wrong time and time again and all they do is change their message slightly to something else against us. Trying to prove them wrong or argue with them is kind of pointless.

All that matters is what happens on the field. So far not one of them can argue with anything that has happened there, unless you count those whining about plays from more than a year ago.

It never once moved relative to Tate's hand. If you can't even break his grip (with two hands verse his one, btw), you didn't take it away.

This may be the funniest post of this thread. Jennings couldn't even rip it away from Tate with two hands? Are you serious? Have you ever played football? Hell, have you ever even held a football in your hands? An eight year old kid could rip the football out an adult's hand if the kid used two hands and the adult used one. Tate was playing the defender here and trying to pry the ball out of Jennings hands, plain and simple.

How many times have you seen a RB getting tackled and the defender has one hand on the ball trying to pop the ball loose? The defenders' hand never moves off the ball, but you can't say he has any kind of control of the ball. Same thing with Tate.

Jennings had both hands on the ball before Tate had one hand (or before you could SEE Tate had one hand on it). Believe me, I've watched this play over and over again on my big screen TV, and not some compressed Youtube video. Tate never showed to have any kind of control until they were all on the ground.

:agree:

Plus the bogus respot of the ball inside the 2 when they were going to end up going for a FG that let them get a TD instead. But why confuse them with the facts? They are NEVER going to let that go. :laugh3:

Or the Bogus pass interference on the Packers when it was clearly offensive pass interference or the Bogus Roughing the passer call on the Packers.... It was a terribly officiated game all around that is why the final play gets so much attention. Who knows if it was called right the game could have been 3-3 going into the final play of the game.

Oh and I was going to originally post is lets not pretend like Russell Wilson is beating these guys. Its RW his steller offensive line and his great defense put Switch RW and RG3 and RW would already be considered a bust.

If you put RW on any team in the league the worst they would be is .500.....

Here's a rank of pass protection defenses in the NFL, from Sports Illustrated.

Notice who is dead last.

More of the ball is irrelevant. Tate caught it one handed and the ball didn't move on his hand once. It was caught before Jennings touched it.

Jennings had the ball first. Not sure what you are talking about..

No I have and when Okaug(spelling) and that other guy was out he looked like crap.... when they are back he just sat back there and picked the Saints apart.... And OP was going over his list from the entire two years of his career his OLine had only been depleted for a series of about 5 games.

Jennings had the ball first. Not sure what you are talking about..

Get this in your head:

It doesn't matter who possessed it first. If an offensive players has possession on a catch, even if a defensive player had it "first" or had it "more," it is a touchdown. Golden Tate had two hands around the ball in midair. His hands didn't move. He kept his hands around the ball all the way to the ground, and indeed a second or two after that. That's possession. So even if Jennings had it first or had it more, it's still a touchdown. That is the simultaneous possession rule.

The ultimate point is Tate pushed off before any of this happened. Packers beat the Seahawks that night.

Here are Russell's stats without Okung this year:

117-179 (65.4% Comp.), 1575 Yards, 8.8 YPA, 13 TDs, 3 INTs, 6-1 Record, 110 QB Rating

If that is crap or even merely okay, than there has never been a good QB in NFL history. You should quit while you are behind. Frankly, it is a little embarrassing the terrible lengths you will go to try to justify your unsupportable criticism of Russell.

Thats why I rephrased.... not crap just not as good as since he came back or before. and numbers are a bit deceiving because a lot of the time he was either sack or ran for it.

So now the fact that he was able to run 278 yards in 7 games is now a bad thing? What?

There's nothing deceiving about those numbers. Behind the worst pass protecting line in the league, with Golden Tate as his #1 receiver, he led his team to 197 points in 7 games. That's 28 PPG.

You are just wrong.

Jennings had BOTH hands on the ball maybe at the same time Tate got ONE hand on the ball. It's physically impossible to control the ball with one hand while another has two. Physics, strength, leverage all come into play here. As the two were going to the ground, Jennings pulled the ball to his chest while Tate was pawing at the ball with his right hand. He never got his right hand firmly onto the ball until both of their butts were on the ground. Watch it again, if you can.

I know what I saw and out of the Texans Rams Buc and Saints games that I watch there was a total difference in play. Then you compare those to games last year there is still a total difference in play.

Again since the OP was QB RW beat my statement is still stands true RW his steller OLine and Defense beat all those QBs.... And again it holds true if you switch RW and RG3 RW would be an after thought.

So your whole point is Wilson plays better when his offense line is healthy ? I'm thinking that's true for any QB. So much easier to complete passes when your not running for your life.

You got anymore brilliant observations ?
