I disagree. He should get more than 6 games to prove himself considering what was given up to get him.

We gave up very little for him to be honest. He was brought here to start. A starting QB for two thirds is nothing.

Just because you make a very bad decisions (bringing in Wentz), doesn’t mean you should make the situation worse by playing garbage.

No thats not the point. Wentz is the starter here and he deserves another shot. If he plays bad against Hou and ATL then go to Howell

Is Wentz the starter? When did he last start?

Deserve is the wrong word…Wentz deserves nothing. Wentz is a trash QB.

Why not go to Howell now? He honestly can’t be worse than Wentz, seeing as TH is better.

Give me a reason that suggests Wentz is better for our team. There is no evidence to support this claim. Dad already gave you the win/loss over TH last starts. That is evidence.

TH completes a higher percentage of passes for more yards per completion than Wentz. TH takes fewer sacks.

This is evidence. RR making a choice is not evidence.

He is a better QB. All the Evidence you need from TH is from last year. We know what he is. No upside. Wentz is way more talented.

I like bill parcels definition of what a good QB is . He said a good QB gets the team in the end zone and wins games.
The team averaged over 19 points a game last year and went 7-10 under Falco. Falco is 2-1 this year.
This year, under wentz, the team went 2-4 and averaged about 17 points.
The data shows we averaged less under wentz and have a worse winning %. Do you agree? That being said, I am done with this waste of time conversation. You are arguing with everyone and not listening to reason.

Last thing dean, the team and our owner are now being sued by DC. This might hold up the sale as the new owner will have to assume the risk of the law suite. This might scare off good candidates to buy the team. We don't know. We are a national embarrassment and it is about to get worse. This might cause Snyder to dig in and not sell the team. We don't know. Bottom line, this is terrible news for the organization and possibly the NFL.
As usual, you don't care, and only care about the final score and how Carson Wentz plays. Who give a crap what happens the rest of the season. I don't care if we forfeit every game the rest of the way. The play on the field is the last of my concerns.
We are last in attendance, we are being sued, our owner is being sued and might try to burn down the NFL, and now possible owners might be scared away from assuming control a team that is in legal turmoil.
But who cares right? Let's talk abouty how we can make the playoffs and talk about how amazing Carson Wentz is. Wow..

Sure you are...you are here to talk about Wentz.
You ignore the big picture to focus on your agenda. What happens today has a direct correlation with football. Our own players are now going to the media about the disfunction.
You still fail to grasp the situation.

I suggest another hobby then. Or another board.
You don't talk about anything. You argue, troll, and debate most every poster here.
When is the last time somebody said ""Great point dean"?

I have a fraction of your posts (14%) have and just about as many trophies. I wouldn't brag about that.

Again, you don't talk or discuss anything. You bang the same drum over and over again and continue to be wrong over and over again. Your predictions are legendary.

You literally have argued with 3 other posters today about Carson Wentz. Today is one of the worst days in the history of the entire organization and you are wanting to talk about Carson Wenz? I don't have the words....

I think you gotta get Young's feet wet. Not expecting much from him, but I want him to shake off the rust this year, so next year week 1 he's rolling.
Depends on the situation. If the playoffs are still a possibility you go head n play him. If the Skins are out the playoff picture or damn near out. You don't play him.

Remember what happened to Lavar in 04.

I just don't want Chase to go a year and a half without paying football. You can't simulate game speed in practice.

Yeah, that has some merit, but getting up to game speed just to go fishing when the season is over seems a little pointless. Besides better 1.5 years with no ball playing than suffers another injury in game 16.

I mean, if he's gonna get injured he's gonna get injured right? Ron rested everyone all pre season and Mathis goes down week 1.

I do see both sides though. You can stomach losing a player that you have invested a top 2 pick in during a game that meant something and not some meaningless December game in front of 15k fans.

I still stand on my opinion though. I want to see where 99 is before the year is up.

no. TH has done nothing to be named the starter. He is playing b/c of injury The love for TH is amazing. you aleady admitted RR will go back to Wentz
yeah i call him falco because i respect his play right dean ? it doesnt matter why he is starting , what does matter is the wince trade isnt panning out and we would be in the exact same place we are now with falco

I like who is better for our team. IMO Wentz is the better QB. Skinsdad already admitted RR will go back To Wentz when healthy, so I don't know what he is chirping about.
again dean you are having trouble with the kings english again so i will break it down for you . saying RR will go back to wince when he recovers doesnt mean i endorse that move or dont endorse it . and RR being stupid doesnt mean i support his stupid moves

in my opinion wince's play doesnt justify the trade and that we would be where we are right now with falco

now i will go further with the kings english dean you cant say i dont have any " proof of that " statement but yet declare wince will beat the texans and the falcons without said proof either

that is called bias , and homerism

the bottom line is we need a qb and that trade is looming as disastrous

He is a better QB. All the Evidence you need from TH is from last year. We know what he is. No upside. Wentz is way more talented.

In a comparison, you need information from the two things being compared.

I gave you a statistical comparison of TH and CW. TH was actually superior. From there, Wentz has the ability to make all the throws; however, he is wildly inconsistent and has no pocket awareness. Wentz is a complete joke, a literal joke. When the Colts gave up what they did and then cut bait after a single season, YOU should be able to learn from that.

No, I said RR will go back to him when Wince is given the OK to resume playing. That's not an endorsement of Wince. I'd prefer he not see the field again. You're enamored with Wince's strong arm. I am not. The NFL boneyard is littered with QBs with big arms. Who can throw a football 50 0r 60 yards through a hurricane. Haskins, George, Wince...they are all basically the same player. Big arms with very little of anything else that's required to be a successful NFL QB. In fact of all the traits needed to be a successful NFL QB. Having a big arm is well down the list. Accuracy, timing, awareness, cool under pressure, a certain level of swagger/a belief in one's self that you are the man. All those and more are more important. Wince doesn't have enough of any of those traits.
The problem with big arms is systemic. Talent scouts all know the exact same things you just stated, however, they are powerless to do anything about it. If you give a recommendation for a strong armed physically gifted QB to be drafted and they fail, you can fall back on the fact that he DID possess all the qualities you stated. If you give a recommendation for a QB who isn't a superior physical athlete, you have nothing to fall back on if they fail, because your recommendation was based on intangibles with no quantifiable property, and the scout loses his job. In essence a scout is forced to go on strictly physical properties of quarterbacks when making recommendations to their teams.
