The colts arw not in a better position at qb than we are. That’s ridiculous.

Just about the only reason anybody could argue that from my perspective is that the Colts only gave up one draft pick to get Ryan.

In the other hand, they still have irsay and a pee wee football coach.
SSM-

I have the mentality of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" with Irsay. He is the only owner to come out and throw Snyder under the bus. It's laughable that Irsay was the only one to have the guts to say something on the record against Dan. The NFL is now paying the price for protecting Dan with this law suite. No clue how much Goodell and the NFL will have to pay...but was it worth it to protect Dan the Coward?

We don't know how many skeletons are in Irsay's closet...but for right now...Irsay is my favorite owner...LOL

Hopefully, he puts fire on Dan selling sooner than January. After the war is over...it will be business as usual.

yes dean and he said quarterback point blank , then he spent the week walking it back . and of course you make comments when you dont know the material being discussed as if you KNOW the facts when in fact you dont

well i didn't know that. I thought he was talking about the time RR was here.

you're missing the point. Im saying if we get on a run and win with Wentz you want to sit him to protect the 2nd round pick. Right?

I understand how you could think that Dean.

However, the sports media and everyone I have talked to (Commanders and non-Commanders) took it to mean the 2022 season. As Skinsdad said, Rivera has had to do damage control.

The way I look at it is that the truth often comes out very quickly before it runs through our mental filter. For example..... cooking.

If your significant other makes a dish and asks how it tastes, even if it's horrible, I have learned to say "takes great"...LOL. Your first reaction is to spit it out and say it's bad. I would not suggest that...LOL

Rivera clearly meant what he said but didn't process it quickly enough in my head. Clearly, he would have handled it differently. My 2 cents.

I still like Bobby Knight news conferences.

Whenever I want to laugh, I youtube Bobby Knight and Mike Ditka conferences. You can't say that stuff anymore.

Didn't Ditka threaten to fight a reporter...LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Skinsdad, did Ditka go after most reporters or just reporters he didn't like?

I am saying that., What I have seen with wince this year as far as wins are concerned , we could have gotten that with Falco .

I am saying we need a qb , that both are BU with quality guys . I am saying that wince has more physical talent but lacks in leadership and escapability and pocket manipulation while Falco is more of a gunslinger with a weak arm but has far more leadership and he can bounce back from bad plays while wince sinks into the abyss

i am saying the trade was made out of desperation and panic and that a real GM. Could have manipulated the situation better.

Fine. Assuming we lose Sunday who will be the QB for the Houston game?

ok so let's say he puts him in, and we are winning. Should he leave him in or take him out b/c of the 2nd round pick?

I found that Carson Wentz was more than twice as likely as Taylor Heinicke to bring drives to an end prematurely by committing turnovers or taking sacks on third down, leading to a punt on fourth down.
While I was sifting through the play-by-play drive recaps to compile the data for that one, a repeating pattern just popped out at me. An awful lot of the Commanders/Football Team’s drives seem to end in third and very long, followed by a punt on fourth down. When I say third and very long, I don’t mean situations like third-and-seven, where the offense simply failed to advance the ball far enough to set up an easy conversion. I mean situations like third-and-11 to third-and-24, where they actually went backward on the first two downs.

Wentz had one save in 22 third and very long situations, which equates to a save rate of 4.5%. Heinicke had seven saves in 39 third and very long situations, giving a save rate of 17.9%. Taylor Heinicke is 3.9 times more likely to dig the team out of a third and long yardage situation to keep a drive alive or score than Carson Wentz.
