Wentz cap hit is about $10mil. Foles franchise hit was around $23mil. Add in a 1-3 mil backup and you are easily at $35 mil. $40mil may have been an exaggeration slightly. Still cant have a $23mil backup.

The eagles are 20 something million under the cap, they have a large list of FAs of which they know they can’t sign most of them and they only have 1 QB on the roster and that guy finished the last two seasons holding a clipboard but all is well? Nothing to see here? Move along?

Foles is the only one who you could bring up and that's a situation that was impossible to keep as was. No team in the league can pay 2 QBs starting money so the eagles were losing one anyway, no matter their cap situation. They got lucky the last 2 years to have the qb situation they did. 99 out of 100 times a team's starting qb goes down its season over cause the reality is you cant pay starter money to 2 QBs. If you want to argue they kept the wrong one, ok. But, they didn't lose Foles because of THEIR cap situation. They lost Foles because of the NFL's cap rules.

Wrong, the realities of the NFL are you dont pay the money for 1 position it would've taken. No team could lock up near $40mil in cap space on 1 position.

Wrong again. 1. That's your opinion not fact. 2. Situations were the same. Both backups on the last year of contract looking to get paid. Difference was, Foles had to play out his year due to injury whereas jg could be traded since Brady was healthy.
