I was surprised at the subpar performance Smith put forth last year. At the time of the draft. I had him pegged as one of the sure-fire rookie stars, and he was really high on my list. Still plenty of time to right the ship, but as you suggest, he needs to step up and assert himself.

He really didn’t get a ton of reps . I think he averaged around 8-12 non-special teams snaps last season.

But that's mainly because he failed to prove that he deserved more reps. Still, this isn't a bagging on the kid, like I said I was really high on him coming out of the draft and rooted for him to make it big. Plus he should get more opportunities this season to show his stuff. But we also have to remember the NFL is not known for its patience. There's a reason its initials stand for Not For Long.

Yeah but I believe this is the last one since that one and in this case he actually caused himself to lose even more money than Leveon did.

Means we wont see this bullshit again for another 5-7 seasons.

You can "hold in" and miss camp with that crap. But once it comes regular season time, you best be ready to go.

I would be surprised if they did. Holding out the way he has probably puts him in the no list for Campbell.

Jets are not likely to as the pick they owe becomes a 2nd if he is traded to the NFC.

I would not mind it though, backfill some of the gap left by Hutchinson now. Makes the pass rush scary good next year.

I saw a hypothetical for Trey Hendrickson. I like that idea, but have no idea what it would take or if the Bengals would even be interested.
