Imo, 70% of the game is the Chiefs run defense. Normally its a strength of the team but there are limits to that and we've seen them. Chiefs put a lot of things on film against the Bills so whatever the Chiefs best plays are we've seen them. The Bills ran well against the Ravens and the Ravens had by far the best run D in football so Im not sure if the Chiefs getting gashed was the Bills or the Chiefs.
That’s a big key as well, although the Eagles can pass the ball pretty well too, remember that in Super Bowl 57 Hurts threw for over 300 yards, so I think the Eagles can still move it even if the Chiefs limit Saquon some.
There are a lot of interesting things to watch for in this game

you made the comment "Neither CB they drafter was really known for (speed)"

I am showing you that your comment is incorrect...you don't need to move the goalposts just because you were wrong. Just embrace it.
If you actually read his draft profile, you would know his one weakness was his ability to follow routes. While not technically a speed issue, its something speedy WRs can exploit.

Now I will say I haven't followed the Eagles at all this year.

Yeah, the Eagles have a gear as a team that the Chiefs just haven't shown this year. The Chiefs have kinda had it all year where 2/3 of the team is excellent and 1/3 of the team is mixed at best. Its been enough to win all but 1 game. But they have yet to bring a full on performance like what the Eagles just did.

It just that the Eagles get easy points with the run. Chiefs stop the run they probably win. Chiefs dont stop the run and they almost certainly lose

Make it too big to rig

If the eagles want to win they'll need to beat their asses.

They won't be winning a close game

I can see why people think Eagles fans are asshats
because they actually look up something before making baseless claims?

"Eagles didn't draft speedy CBs"
they did
"Oh well, I don't follow the Eagles...so whatever"

dude...

good luck next weekend.

They do but how do they match up against speedy WRs? Neither CB they drafted was really known for that IIRC
The Eagles will likely play a ton of zone. Now that Kelce is getting up there, the Chiefs don’t really have anybody that you look at and they deserve special attention. Fangio doesn’t blitz much and he feels most comfortable in zone.

In the end none of Philly's advantages matter if they have a vastly inferior QB.
How many times have the Chiefs been able to leverage that though this year? Like, their pitiful explosives rate doesn't lie. Mahomes has largely been asked to make chicken salad out of chicken shit this year. It's a minor miracle the offense functioned at all this year.

You can argue Mahomes is a 1 of 1 type talent, I agree, but that Chiefs offense around him hasn't been all that good. Albeit it has been noticeably better with Thuney at LT and the return of Hollywood Brown. Maybe Worthy developing and Brown's return changes thing, but this is a tough matchup for the Chiefs, imo. If Mahomes wasn't the QB, I wouldn't be very optimistic at all about the SB. Because if it's 1:1 talent to talent, the Eagles are just flat better, Imo.

He is a rookie. In the Super Bowl. His NFL comp was Steven Nelson.
It’s pretty clear that you haven’t watched much of Quinyon Mitchell. He’s already getting Deion treatment with QBs just not even throwing to his side of the field.

I mean… you did claim that you haven’t watched any Eagles this year and you’re invoking Steve Nelson and shit but yeah the Eagles fan is an ass for pushing back on your opinion.

Hurts is being carried by the most stacked roster in the league. Put him on the Titans and see how he does.
That’s probably true of most QBs in the league. You said he was vastly inferior which means he probably shouldn’t even be an NFL QB.

It’s all good. Not every fan understands the great game of football.

I have not outside of the draft process. I did like him quite a bit.

He can't cover 2 WRs. I'm not responding to the troll. I'm just also not falling into the trap again that the Eagles are the favorites

The Eagles have done a good job of limiting big passes this season and forcing QBs to methodically move the ball downfield without turning it over. It’s basically a bend but don’t break style of D and that’s not a sexy term but it works against modern passing offenses.

I expect that to continue but Mahomes is good enough to methodically move down the field AND also make the explosive play with great throws.

It doesn't matter if the Eagles have a better running back or wide receivers or defense. As long as they're disadvantaged at QB, they ain't winning.

Might as well just give the trophy to the Chiefs right now. First time in nearly 20 years I won't be watching the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs will win with ease. 32-21? Something like that.
