Not yet! Washington did, what they did, primarily on the skill set of their quarterback! The process requires upgrades while that window is open then smart drafting after the rookie deal is closed. Nobody ever said that it couldn't be done after the QB gets his big contract. That's a strawman created by those who like debating with themselves. Absolutely, and it's true, but that doesn't mean that there's only a two-year window. Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, M. Stafford, J. Goff, J. Burrow, Hurts and others reinforce second contract possibilities.
