Will be hard to watch Philly possibly make the same mistake twice by letting Foles go a second time.

Only reason he's a back up is because they let him go once, and Jeff Fisher can't coach up a QB to save his life.

What if he goes to Washington and beats Philly?
To me the biggest difference is Foles is relatively cheap, and will never have more value than he does right now. Wentz hasent reached his pinacle.
I heard some one talking about Foles isnt going anywhere. Between the two qbs, they arent paying what some teams are for one starter. Think that was the logic

Because Wentz is hurt and will likely never fully 100%, he won't garner much attention. Foles is the starter so they can't trade him right now.

I say keep em both on the cheap.

Yes, keep both. Wentz may heal well and he’ll be as good as new. But you don’t know for sure, especially since running is in his blood. That means risk and then you don’t know if another injury will turn him into another Bradford. Foles is the proven assurance the Eagles have. People think that two QBs can’t work together but the Eagles are the kind of team that will make it work and repeat their SB run. Go Eagles!

Had this debate last night w the neighbros over beers. There is nothing Foles can't do that Wentz can do better, and there's no injury risk w Foles like there is a Wentz when Wants runs around like he does.

Eagles drafted Foles. Only reason he became a back up is because they let him go to St. Louis. Will the Eagles make that mistake again?

Or should they keep the more experienced SB winning QB and trade Wentz? Get some of those picks back.

:pound: Kaepernick ... Best poll answer ever.

As discussed in the Lamar Jackson thread, Polian is a nut. There is no way any team pays close to that based off two great games.

Oh, agreed.

I'm not that familiar with Polian, so I'm guessing his angle is to make outlandish statements in the hopes of getting folks to watch him. In other words, nearly every other talking head out there.....

It is a good question...just a bit redundant now. I voted trade Foles.

This is Wentz's team, he was drafted to be the man and he was on an mvp type performance prior to the injury...so he was fulfilling his role....he's the man.

But...Foles was able to finish the job and put the cherry on top.

IMO...PHI should trade Foles while his value is the highest.

Even if they were open to trading Wentz...At this point...due to injury, he's not at max value.

I agree, they should trade Foles...No Matter what, his value can only go down holding a clipboard

The other scenario is that a team unexpectedly has a QB go down in the preseason or early enough in the season to make a serious play for Foles. I would imagine any trade would have to come with a long term contract for Foles in place as part of the agreement.

I don't think the value is very high right now. A few factors is the four 1st round QB's in the draft, Kirk Cousins and the other free agent QB's (Keenum, McCarron, Bridgewater, Bradford, Cutler) , and the fear of making the same mistake the Rams made.

I think he would make a very good QB for a team. As long as their O-line is pretty good.

Spoken like a true fan...I hear ya bro!

The truth of the matter...the Eagles can carry both QBs this season. PHI is probably not going to wait until the end of '19 to extend Wentz...yes, they will get some cap relief with Wentz's new deal, but doubtful they can carry both for the '19 season anyway.

So you're willing to forego a 1st round pick possibly and settle for a comp pick when he's gone?

It's max value right now still.

In terms of what his value is...sure the rookie class impacts it, other FA QBs impact it, but PHI will never get more for him now.

Bottom line, PHI has a yr to keep both if they want, and be prepared to get another back up in '19.

And of course this is ALL contingent on the Eagles feeling good about Wentz' knee

Thats obviously an entire game changer

I watched Foles on Kimmel, I dont know the buzz, you know better, but he has the sounds of a guy that absolutely wants to start

Good question. I trust GM Rosemen who proved he knows how to get the job done. Let's have a PA Super Bowl next year.

That would be nice, but man...when you're the hunted every week, it's different.

I agree, I just don't think it would be as much as some people think. More value in keeping him on the team.

This in bold will be the tell tell...if they feel comfortable with where Wentz is physically...I think we'll see a trade...if they're not totally comfortable...we might see them keep him for insurance one more season, and deal with the fallout later.

Foles nearly considered retirement before signing with the Chiefs to play for Andy Reid.
If he wants to start, he'll have to wait another year unless someone wants to offer something good for him.
Obviously, they will not trade him just to trade him.
