No you are not. You can’t proclaim one thing to back up your argument and then say it isn’t important later. That isn’t consistency.

Sigh. I don't think you read what I wrote.

There sure is a lot of smoke regarding the Skins being very interested in Bennie Logan this off-season. Both Tadler and Keim, as well as the Kansas City media have written about it. I know there was interest in him last year too.

I'd rather go with Payne, who is younger, cheaper, and probably better. If they.do sign Logan that opens up 13 for maybe Fitzpatrick or Q. Nelson. I do think the transition tag is in play for Zach now.

On a side note, I could see this team signing Talib if he is released. They chased him in 2013 and Bruce Allen drafted him in Tampa.

I think 32. Honestly though, I'd take him. Campbell is 31 and he was a minor force for Jacksonville last year.

Right or wrong Skinsdad, by trading for Smith, this team decided to go all in. Why give up Fuller and trade for a 33 year old QB unless you plan to make a run. Draft your future QB in the 1st next year and sign guys that can play now.

Unless the thought process was let's just get Smith so we don't completely bottom out while we build the team to make a run in a few years.

This is why I say its a typical Snyder move. Once again they are trying to take a shortcut. Because Bruce sucks at evaluating talent AND taking care of the few talented players we manage to grow in house, we are once again throwing resources at other teams free agents or in this case cast offs.

No question Shark. I'm with you, but the only way to make this trade worse is to stand pat. Like it or not this is the road they chose.

I'm not saying go all year 2000 next month, but Talib is lock down.

Talib is 31
Norman is 30
Trent and RK are 29

Talib is in the age range of the core guys here that will be counted on to make a run.

Not trying to do that at all. In fact I didn't like the trade. I've said that in multiple post. I was for getting Alex because I thought he was the next best QB out there besides Kirk, but it is kind of getting annoying that I keep having to repeat the fact that I wouldn't have traded Fuller.

That being said they did. Therefore, in my opinion they might as well go all in since the QB they just gave 71 million dollars to is gonna be 34.

Trading a 3rd and the best slot corner in the game for a 34 year old QB and then trying to build for 5 years down the road would make the trade eveeven worse imo. I really wish I was allowed to have seperate opinions on various aspects of getting Alex Smith without being lumped into a certain box to fit ones narrative.
