TMZ Sports reports a witness saw Ezekiel Elliott punch a man at a Dallas-area bar Sunday night.

A video shows the victim laying on the ground after the incident, but there is no video of the actual altercation. The victim suffered a broken nose. Despite a witness identifying Elliott as the assailant, police did not make any arrests because of a lack of information and the fact the witness appeared to be intoxicated. Police also did not speak with Elliott because he was gone by the time they arrived. No charges have been filed at this time.
Evidently the drunk tried to start a fight. Bad idea.

It's easy to point fingers at TMZ or Roger Goodell or drunken a-holes looking for the spotlight or a payday.

The real problem is Zeke. Every incident could have been avoided if he knew how to behave. Dude is a stud RB with a 10 cent head.
Hard to blame a guy when a crazy gold-digging GF makes up an assault story to try and ruin his career because he tried to dump her. Also, it's sounding more and more like he wasn't to blame for anything with this bar fiasco.

Man, I don't even know why these Cowboys fans are so worked up about this. Jerry went to Endor and he's got a Zeke replacement lined up!

He looks just like Zeke, shown here consoling Cole Beasley after the Cowboys' playoff loss last year.

couldn't agree more....just pointing out he's 21 and many do stupid things at that age

Well the NFL doesn't seem to look at age as an excuse. They view it that with today's media coverage these guys should know what they are getting themselves into when they sign up to be an NFL player. So if you go out and be stupid you can expect consequences in this world. And honestly at this point in his life maybe he needs that type of wake up call to get things together. My guess is most of his life he has been handed just about everything he has ever wanted. Heck I think on here before I've told the story of Josh Freeman when I was in college would just go knock on doors in the girls dorms and when they answered the door say "hey I'm Josh Freeman would you like to get laid by a future NFL player?" And while it didn't work every time I'm sure it worked some. So again just what these guys are used to. Get to the NFL though and some of that stuff just doesn't fly like it did in college. Some adjust and learn while others go deeper down the rabbit hole until they have no career and usually are broke.

yep....superstar athletes are coddled. Shoot, down here in Texas, it starts in the 9th grade if the kid has game.

I've said many times the last two days, as a Cowboy fan, I have no issue with sitting 2 games for being a dumb ass. I just think most do stupid shit and consider themselves invincible at 21.

We don't really have any superstar athletes where I'm from but the stop athletes still got special treatment. I remember one stole a car and his punishment was to I think wash the car and apologize to the family. Well that kid turned 21 and went and stole a car. Much different punishment at that time. The world of sports and the raising up of these kids definitely gives them a skewed view of reality and when actual reality comes crashing down on them they struggle to understand why. I keep telling people locally that punishments need to be more harsh for students. Don't ruin their life but make sure they understand this was a very stupid decision that will cost them even more down the road. A slap on the wrist growing up does very little.

Like I said hopefully he learns from all of this sooner than later. The NFL is not afraid to rule with an iron fist and have it come down very harshly on a repeat offender. 2 games sounds about right for all that has happened so far with him with a sit down meeting for him to understand anything more will get very serious in threatening his career.

You're right....Texas Football is the worse
When my son played HS football, my wife and I attended a booster club meeting and over heard the coach talking to the star RB's parents. He told the parents that he'd talked to the teacher, and all the kid had to do was attend class, not cause a disturbance, and he would pass the class. The coach actually suggested the kid lay his head down at his desk and sleep. Seven years later that kid was sent to the Texas pen. for raping two girls.

Exactly right...When youre average NFL career ends long before 30 years old, 21 in the NFL is like 40 in the real world............NOt a Cowboy bashing thing, Beckham has a lotta maturing to do as well, but thankfully so far his problems dont involve drunken fights and slapping women around.....yet

Sheesh that is terrible. That is the world we have set up though unfortunately. You would hope all of these horror stories some of these players are going through now would open some eyes but we see the same mistakes being repeated every single year. I still have no clue how an NFL player could ever have an excuse for driving drunk when the NFL actually offers a free service to drive them anywhere any time. I would be using and abusing that system left and right. Yet sounds like very few players ever use it.

I still have trouble watching Brandon Marshall any time he is on national tv because his actions in the bar led to another Bronco player getting shot and killed quite a few years ago. Yet he is still in the league after how many stupid incidents. Elliott will get many more opportunities becuase he is a super star and his personality is good for ratings. Still though even super stardem will only get you so far.

Lol at Deep Trouble

Well if he continues down the path he is going things could get pretty hairy. He was already in trouble before this weekend's incident and now you add this on top of it the league might want to come down on him pretty harshly to get his attention. I could see them doing something like a 4-6 game suspension and then reduce it down to say 2 once he comes in and has a sit down with the commissioner to make sure he understands what his actions do to the brand of the NFL.

Probably a fair suspension is two games, but look for godell to try for 4. Zeke has violated the personal conduct policy for sure. He could lose lots of money on the suspended list. The time for him to learn and grow up is now.

I see no reason to dust off that Eagle trophy case. Won't be anything new going into that thing anytime soon
