I think Hutton was a 5th round pick (checking on that, yup #147 in the 2012 entry draft). Canucks found a gem late in that draft, he's going to be the Canucks #1 defender in short order.

i think he might already be the #1 offensive d threat ... just now starting to get #1 pp unit ice time with 4 forwards and last game in the final few minutes he had an amazing shift walking the line with the net empty

Some chatter on the cesspool this morning about adding Tanev to the Team Canada defense corps. Call me a homer (I've been called worse), but I don't think the defensive capabilities of Tanev outweigh the offensive contributions that a guy like TJ Brodie brings to the table (and TJ is a pretty good defensive defenseman as well).

LOL. Brodie >>>> Tanev in all facets of the game.

Who did you expect them to cut to take Miller though? Goaltender is a tough spot to crack on the US team.

same ... hes steady and is a chip for the canucks d to build on ... Ben Hutton could be something extra special though imo
Hutton made the transition from college to the Pro's better than anyone I can think of that wasn't a high pick. Very lucky to have him.

Miller on USA would be like Reimer on Canada. Except less logical.

Anderson is probably the one who usually gets snubbed that deserves a spot the most, but I figure they'll call Bishop.

They already named Bishop, no? I thought they named all 3?
