Kiriil Marchenko signed a contract 2 years ago to stay in the KHL. It is up at the end of this season and he has stated that he wants to give the NHL a shot, so he wasn't re-signing. So his KHL team dropped him to 4-5 minutes a night and even healthy scratched him and sent him down to their version of the minors. With all that he is sitting on 50 points in 70 games as a 21 year old.

They took him to China but refused to let him play. I like to believe that he would have made a difference for them and their arrogance and ignorance cost them gold.

I hope his season ends quick over there and he gets here ASAP.
