Hardly fair to handicap the visiting team like that.

I mean, they'd miss the net on every attempt and never land a successful check either.

Thanks everyone, if we can all look past our personal team preferences and suggest things to better the entire league and sport; than I have hope our political leaders can put aside their differences and find common ground too.

3 divisions of 13 teams and after a 78 game regular season, you eliminate 7 teams. The remaining 32 are split into two brackets consisting of 16 teams each (2 Sweet 16's if you will) and it's single elimination just like the NCAA bball tourney.

I like the fantasy draft idea but we should do it for both team names and jerseys. So next year I could be rooting for the San Jose Maple Leafs while they wear the really cool Indian head jerseys.

Think of the increased revenue from merchandise sales alone, not to mention national interest driven by the name swaps.
