I'd do that sh8 in a heartbeat. I'd give up Bowman, and Cully for him. In the draft I'd get a player to replace Bowman (Ogletree). lol. Damn greed is always within us.

what would it take? And would you want to reach a deal before the trade would go through?

I'm with Bingo. I'd trade Bowman for him (but I wouldn't add Cully). Both have big contracts, but Revis' deal has 2 more years before it can be voided. He's making about 10-11 million a season.

The Niners could cut / trade Rogers & add Revis with only about a differenvce of like 3-4 million dollars.

Bowman has more tread on the tires & isn't coming off an ACL tear, but Revis has the better contract (because it's voidable) and plays a more valuable position.

Unfortunately, the Jets are set at ILB. They'd probably want something like Anthony Davis or Alex Boone or a 2nd round draft pick or a combination of these.

I might trade the 2nd & cut Rogers...

If they would take our second I would do that in a heart beat. Cut Rogers and be happy. But I think they would want more than that. Maybe the injury takes things down a bit?

A 2nd seems realistic. Big contracts are hard to unload. The Niners will have a low 2nd draft pick, so they might have to throw in a player or another pick.

Would you give up our first if that is what it took? Seeing how it is going to be #32?

How about Alex Smith and our 2nd for Revis and their 4th?

Oh, my beeper just beeped.

If Norv had gone to the Jets and this were feasible this would the best for everyone (No, I don't care if the Jets get screwed in the deal or not). If they could restructure Sanchez's deal, trading him to the Niners for Akers, that would satisfy some poster here (forgot who said Sanchez would be good here - Sickness?) But Sanchez wouldn't want to add three years and no money and spread it out, would he? ;)

A little bit of both.

My only concern with acquiring Revis is his habit of holding out for more money every 2 years.

I'd be concerned with recovery as well but yea, he's a bit of a Diva with the holdouts (can you have a no holdout clause?).

I don't think the Jets will change QB's yet because they'd have to eat Sanchez's bug salary. They probably couldn't have his and Alex's contracts.

If they don't replace Revis, they can, because it'd be an even trade money-wise, right? If they can keep him, they can trade him for the same amount. Again, I don't care if their defense is shot without someone to replace Revis. ;) But without Norv, I don't want Smith going there, anyway. Would still take the deal, though.

No. That's too much. I'd be happier keeping Rogers & drafting a guy.

wat

You wouldn't give up the 32nd overall pick for arguably the best CB in the league...in his prime?

I'd do that in a heartbeat. Who are you gonna get at 32 that's gonna be better than Revis? And Rogers will be irrelevant in a year or two.
