With that said, the play-calling and Sam going into check-down Charlie mode didn't help either. The last quarter was painful to watch.

Sam struggled a bit but he's not at all to blame for yesterday IMO. The offensive line and Norv Turner are who you all should be talking about, the line gave him no shot and Norv at one point called 4 shotgun draws in a row, I understand trying to get a running game going but let's mix it up a little, throw a damn screen pass, bring in an extra blocker play max protect and get the ball down the field, nope instead it was 2 yard passes with the secondary playing right on top of the receivers and these were the plays that were called the entire game, not Bradford's fault at all. Vikes need to call Cleveland and see what it would take to get Joe Thomas...

With $50,000 in cap space and already trading a #1 for Bradford the options appear limited for Thomas and by the way Cleveland says this:

Yeah the only way I see Cleveland moving Joe Thomas is if he forces their hand...

I don't see much out there the Vikings could release to gain any big cap space for him, and like you said, their 1st round pick is already gone.

I think Cleveland would be easily able to get a 1st round pick in a deal for him.

Doug Peterson had the book on Bradford so he knew what to do to make him look like a scrub. Bradford's dink dunk shit and no mobility couldn't hold up vs Philly. I don't think Bradford is this bad and will probably be much better for the rest of the season but I think he has too many limitations for this team to be a success in the postseason.

Look around the league the last couple years. Some of the worst OL play has been on some of the best teams.

Denver's OL last year was pathetic especially early in the season. Seattle has been terrible for years. New England's last year was terrible.

When it comes to the reason as to why the Vikes will come crashing back to earth, the OL play falls well behind the facts that they have little to no offensive playmaking talent and they have an OC that has been a decade behind the rest of the league for the last decade.

And even with the reality that their offense is one of the worst in the league, it doesn't really matter much. The defense is THAT good. They are still easily a playoff team and are likely a 50/50 shot at getting a bye.

I still see nothing but a game manager in Sam. He's a good QB, but I don't see anything out of him to warrant a 1st and 4th rounders for him. 262 yards and a TD. Good numbers, but not 1st rounder money.

The Vikings were desperate when they traded for him. This is just another reason why the Vikings have not been relevant since the 80's.
