Looks like he wants out of Cleveland now, just as he wanted out of NY. Next Patriot?

Better not be SF. I think now with adding Sanders and hopefully resigning him, and Deebo Samuel developing as a really solid guy, the Niners might be set a receiver. Having the best TE in football doesn't hurt either.

I want no part of that shit-polyp.

The article says he is pals with Jimmy G, but I agree that now that they signed Sanders, that would not seem to make much sense...unless they are going to move away from Sanders after a year. He is older, but he seems to have really given that offense a spark as a deep threat. Samuel's numbers improved immediately after Sanders got there.

Cleveland's asking price is going to be outrageous. The remainder of his current deal is very lucrative though at just $15m per year for 4 more years (not even top 10 at the position anymore). But the compensation has to match what Cleveland has already invested, and that's somewhere around $37m for 1 season.

That said, it still takes substantial risk for the new team to take on. I don't know if a team with a good nucleus like SF would want to introduce this sort of me-first poison to their lockerroom. At least a smart GM wouldn't.

Sanders always seems to be in the right spot. I never knew how good of a player he was until he became a Niner.

Yep asking price could be more than the NYG wanted. I think if he sticks around one more year and gains chemistry with Baker while this team making some coaching changes...it will benefit him. I really don't think he has been a problem off the field, it's been on the field. He doesn't need to skip camp or practice...he needs to work as much as he can with his team. I think that alone made a huge difference in this past season. Well other than Kitchens being a fat fucking idiot and Baker regressing.

If by "turn it all off" you mean "hand the keys to your agent or PR guy"... Because that's what AB did.........for now

Social media...just stay off of it and don't turn it on at all...don't read it, if somebody else brings you their phone to show you what somebody posted, smash their phone so they know you're serious about not reading it...just stay all the way out of that poison show. That means not anybody from his camp says a damn thing about anything...poison is poison, regardless of the volume consumed

If only teams started writing social media clauses into the player contracts... That'd be very interesting!

I don't think we'll see it. At this point in time they're supposed to be professionals. While some of them don't act like or understand what that is, they need to find somebody that does and hang with them. If they can't or won't do that, their chances of washing out are much greater. If that was written into their contract, how many do you think would just pay the fine, like they do for stupid antics on the field? The unprofessional ones will just pay it, those that don't need the clause will keep doing what they do.
