Seattle fans seeing off their team to the airport before they left to the SB: Estimated 30k lined the streets and rocked their buses as they passed.
Denver fans seeing off their team to the airport before they left to the SB: An estimated 200 gathered around the outside of their practice facility to see them off and a couple of them waved.

According to everyone in NY the city has been overran by Seahawk fans. Not just one bar or restaurant, but major parts of the city. Commentators from all over have remarked at how many are in town and most say they have either not seen a bronco fan, or very very few.

According to tiqiq there were more than double the number of Seattle fans buying tickets to the SB than Denver fans.

You wanted to know besides stadium volume how the fan bases stack up? I'd say there are several clues right there. It's not even close man. Just isn't.

We don't have parades in the streets when we haven't won anything yet.

I call :bullshit: Any links to articles or news broadcasts that can prove this claim? You are just making this up.

Everyone in NYC? Do you know them all personally and they texted you or something? I hope you have an unlimited nplan.

All the news coverage has shown roughly an even number of Seahawks and Broncos fans in the NY area and most fans attending the game from out of state are just arriving. Like most Superbowls, you will have a lot of fairweather and bandwagon fans and it is usually just about even.

According to tiqiq there were more than double the number of Seattle fans buying tickets to the SB than Denver fans.

:bullshit: Both conference champions are given 17.5% of the available tickets to sell to their fan base. The rest of the league gets a smaller allotment of tix for players, coaches and the majority gets osld to ticket brokers who resell them. The NFL won't actually disclose how many tix get sold to corp buyers and resellers, it's a publicity nightmare for them

NFL is vague on fuzzy Super Bowl ticket math - The Denver Post

"The league says the Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks each got 17.5 percent of tickets to the game, but what the NFL will not say is 17.5 percent out of how many."

"The number is controversial because the Broncos and the Seahawks sold an undisclosed portion of the tickets they received from the NFL to a company called PrimeSport, which is offering the seats as part of vacation packages that include airfare and hotel stays."

"The NFL distributes its tickets at face value according to this breakdown: Seventy-five percent go to the teams, including 17.5 percent each to the two teams playing in the Super Bowl. The host teams — the New York Jets and the New York Giants — share 6.2 percent of tickets. The remaining teams get 1.2 percent each, comprising 33.6 percent.

The league retains 25.2 percent of tickets for corporate sponsors and media."

See this link Morpheus, it will explain why Seahawks fans feel we'll out number Broncos fans at the Super Bowl. However tomorrow we'll all know with out a doubt.

Super Bowl ticket prices plummeting as demand drops - Local - MyNorthwest.com

Let me quote the part of the article that matters.

"Based on traffic to SeatGeek's Super Bowl pages, we've seen about 18 percent of all shoppers originate from the state of Washington. That's twice as much as from Colorado. I think we're going to see a much more Seahawks friendly crowd than we did in 2006."

BS. An article from the local Area with a guy making an assumtion based on one reseller. I put more stock in the article that shows that small % of tickets actually available to fans of each team and that is a small number.

I doubt the guy quoted in the article has any actual facts on actual tickets sold to either fan base. he is making an assumption based on one online reseller and has no proof of ticket sales from dozens of other resellers to back it up. There are many more ways to buy tickets than seatgeeks.com

The majority of tickets go to corp sponsors. The actual number of true fans from each team will be probably less than 20% of the 80,000 in Metlife Stadium. The article I posted shows that each teams fabase gets teh same ticket allotments and they are both sold out.

There is no accurate way to track who's fan base bought the rest of the 80% of tickets to the game and if they are even fans of either team.

There will be bandwagon fans on both sides, rich people who will buy whatever teams gear suits their mood that day and they are not true fans.

let's do the math for just that one reseller.

if 18% are from the pacific NW and 8% from Colorado that is only 26% of the traffic on thatoen resellers site. That re seller may have gotten an estimated 5-10% of the tickets available for online ticket brokers. It's a fraction of the tickets sold to the game and doesn't prove anything.

Do a google search and tell me how many OTHER online resellers you can find who are selling Superbowl tickets

I'll wait.

So what do we take from that?
You don't support your team to see them off for the biggest game of the year and have the excuse that they don't deserve it because they haven't won anything yet. :L

You question my words about how many hawks fans are actually in NY right now and instead of posting counter claims demand I post links to support mine and question if I actually know everyone in all of NY. :laugh3: Well at least you have some humor. :noidea: I know about a dozen people in and around NY right now that I have spoken to this week, all of our local media is reporting on it like crazy, I watched SB specials on CBS and NBC showing throngs of Seattle fans, and not that many Broncos and haven't seen any evidence to the contrary. I most certainly didn't make it up.

As for tickets, tiqiq tracked the purchase addresses of the buyers on the secondary market and said it was more than 2:1 Seattle. If you refute their findings then so be it, but again it is out there and I haven't seen a single thing that refutes it.

but nice try.

Do I need to keep posting more? Or maybe you can simply refute it with some of your own. Or just deal with it. Seattle is more crazy over this SB than Denver is.

I wasn't trying to troll him, or anyone else for that matter. I was simply passing on what I have read and heard. This year has been different and the city is in a whole different place than we have ever seen it. Not surprising it is carrying on all the way to NY. Of course it is hard to know who is a fan from here and who is just a local supporting the Seahawks. Maybe some of their locals are latching on to the whole Sherman vibe or something? :noidea:

Read post #108. I ain't doing groundhog day.
I think it was 1984, the NFL noise rule.
While it is in the same vain as breaking the noise record, the NFL noise rule was put into force against your Donkeys at the Kingdome by the NFL. This wasn't just some Noise breaking decibels reading meter. It was a penalty sanctioned by the NFL rule.
Do I need to remind you what happened in the game between the Seahawks and the complaining Donkeys?

We are known for that.

Last I heard when the teams arrived in New York on Saturday or Sunday Denver had 3 times the number of fans great their team at the hotel compared to that of Seattle. We definitely didn't send our team off like Seattle did but we definitely welcomed our team to New York as it should be! I would rather have the fan base in New York than in Denver welcoming the team than saying good bye.

Now as for the tickets my guess is the fan base will be about half and half. Most of that from the fact that Peyton is the biggest figure in this game and from what I have seen the people in New York buying the tickets are pro Bronco at this time because of the Eli and Peyton connection and just Peyton's name in general. He is the nice guy that everybody outside of Washington wants to see get his second ring.
