The Lakers did a good job keeping Jokic below his season average during their 4 games ( Lakers won 3 ).

and their defense has actually improved in the post season vs regular season.

should be a good series though, and if the Lakers go up 3-1, they better be nervous.
They should let the Nuggets go 2-1 the first three games, so they can't ever be down 3-1

As I said to ShaqDaddy, the Rockets and Blazers lacked a key element in that they didn't have a reliable inside game. And Jokic isn't just an inside post scorer. He spaces the floor and he's an incredible passer. Millsap stretches the floor too. All factors for opening up the entire floor. Rockets just spaced with shooters, but with the Nuggets they can also play a bit inside out.

And the difference between the Lakers and Clippers is the Lakers can defend Jokic in the paint and at the 3 point line.

I think Jokic will dunk on all three of them all series long. :heh: <---You know I can't go too many comments without some Lakers trash talk! Good point about the previous series. But the Nuggets are more talented and deeper than the Blazers or the Bottle Rockets (shoutout to @ChiefsLakers67- don't wanna be accused of stealing his line). And playoff Rondo. I don't like him.

I agree. That's why I think this series goes 6. The Nuggets will not be an easy out.

The Joker held to 16.3ppg and just under 6rpg during the reg season by Howard and McGee.....

He'll likely do better in the playoffs. As long as the Lakers don't let him do to them what he did to the Clippers, they should be fine.

The Lakers definitely have what they need to limit him and they should be able to do it without doubling him. They showed it in the regular season, now they have to show it again.

Regular season doesn't matter
As far as wins and losses correct......but it does show the Lakers have the defenders to slow down Joker.

If he was posting 30ppg, 15rpg, and 10apg you know as well as I do......people would be pointing that out.

Regular season doesn't matter

It does in terms of a team going in with a "blueprint" on how to deal with a player. The Lakers have had success slowing him and so they know they have what they need to do it.

Where it matters less is that the Nuggets will now be able to focus a lot more on how to counter what the Lakers did to him in the regular season.

How the Lakers react to adjustments the Nuggets make will go a long way to deciding the series.

30/15/10 is what Jokic will be doing to the Lakers. And he'll average 2.5 blks & 1.5 stls. While shooting 40+ % from downtown & 65% from the field.

Yeah, which is why I picked the Lakers in 7. The more areas of attack you have as a team, the harder you are to defend. I just think overall the Nuggets present more facets to an offense than the Blazers or Rockets did, which is what could make this a competitive series.

And the other big problem with the Rockets is that besides Harden and House (who was gone after Game 2), no one else was knocking down their shots.

I would usually disagree but in 2020 I agree because of the extended break. The bubble feels like a much different season that the actual regular season that took place from Oct-March. The last regular season game these 2 played prior to the bubble was back in February. Hard to put much stock into anything that took place over 7 months ago

Which could be attributed to the Lakers defense.
