Well now that Houston is out of the playoff conversation...

Boise St and Western Michigan have no shot at the playoffs if undefeated. Their schedules are not even close to being good enough.

Washington would be a lock if they go undefeated.

Right now you are looking at Bama, Clemson, Ohio St/Michigan winner, Washington

If UW runs the table, they will get in. There's no way a 13-0 PAC 12 team is getting left out. Honestly, I think a 12-1 PAC 12 Champion is a lock at this point. The question is what happens if a two loss team wins the PAC
If the Huskies keep playing like they have been and go 13-0 I agree, no way they get left out...

Does Boise State have the SoS though? Maybe they could but I'd hope Louisville loses again or Washington loses because the Playoff Committee is biased towards those teams it seems.
Everytime Ore. St and Wash. St. Win, Boise looks better. We old Broncos get it, though. We've been undefeated 4 times in the 2000s and been snubbed. One day. The irony is that finally folks know who we are, and we've won everytime we had the chance. One day, who knows, this isn't our best team, but they get better each week.

And Houston losing really killed whatever outside shot Louisville had of getting in as well. Think that was their only ranked team they had left on the schedule

Pac 12th is definitely 4th in the pecking order among the P5s. If OSU wins out and beats michigan by 3-7 points, they would no doubt get in over a 2 loss Pac 12 champ this year. If Washington loses two games with their remaining schedule they don't deserve a CFP spot.

The 'ville's shot at making the playoffs without playing and winning the ACC CCG is officially 0%.

I think an undefeated Houston with a win over Louisville would have almost certainly gotten in over a one loss PAC 12 or Big 12 champ.

I think an undefeated Houston would have gotten in as well. A moot point now with the loss. Still a lot of football left at this point to be making predictions as to how it will eventually play out and end up.

Or two B1G teams.....or both. :exploding:

There's no way the Big Ten gets two teams with the Ohio St./Michigan game being at the end of the season. The loser won't have the chance to climb back up the playoff rankings to get back in.

That loss hurt UL as much as it did UH
Too many people were gassing up UL as a possible playoff contender after the Clemson loss. I don't believe the playoff committee would select two teams from the same conference. Nor do I believe they should.

edit: Unless, of course, that second team in consideration is FSU.

Not a huge FSU fan, but that jacket is freaking awesome! I used to be a FSU baseball fan and wore it proudly.

Yeah I mean if Washington runs the table and goes to the Pac-12 Championship who are they gonna face? Colorado? Utah? Just seems that a 1 loss B1G/SEC/or ACC team gets in. Like what you said.
If you can't win your division you got nothing coming imo.
