I got nothing from Illinois.

-4 substitution violations is troublesome
-The defense bent to the point where it was about to break/snap. We can't do that against good teams, teams like UCLA will exploit us over and over.
-I don't see why every team doesn't just run a slot receiver over the middle when matched on our LB's, they obviously can't cover.

Offensively-
-Offense flows better with TA, he does have a little air under his throws, but the offense does look better with him in. Thus give him more reps.

Other than that, we won't learn anything from Purdue and Minn

We could learn a bit from Warshington at Stanford tonight. If Stanford handles them easily then I'm back to Wyoming. If Warshington upsets them or even plays close I'll have some hope.

Actually we will learn from nwestern

And Michigan isn't as scary as I thought they would be this year

Not saying I have confidence in our defense but I think we have a better chance since Michigan isn't look that elite

But your right outside of the offense Nebraska didn't look so good

Score won't show it but Illini was moving the ball up and down the field

There was plenty to get out of today's game. Mostly, game experience for the young 'uns. Also, PT for the back up QB. Maybe some confidence for him too.

Not trying to serve up any kool aid here, but there was plenty of good stuff to build on, and against a B1G opponent.

I will not learn from any team we have played or about to play

it is any given Saturday ---it is about young kids growing up to be young men

it has nothing to do about statistics and crowd attendance
and it really has nothing to do about --star players making it to a NFL team

it is all about learning about growing up and living life and finishing the race with all you have

I still don't know what's to be learned from OSU/NW

We don't know if they're both good, or if OSU isn't as good as expected. OSU played some close games last season, but managed to get through them.

There's really no way to have evaluated them yet this season.

There's more to be evaluated in how Washington plays Stanford IMO. Washington also beat Illinois.

I am pretty sure the Legends is almost up for grabs.

Michigan could lose some games, and this seven game stretch is going to be rough for them. AT Penn State, AT Michigan STATE, AT Northwestern, AT Iowa. Iowa seems to be able to shock Michigan at weird times. Throw in wild Indiana, Nebraska, and then Ohio State.

The only team that looks consistent is Northwestern. And if you force them to obvious passing plays, Simeon is not the answer. You just blitz Trevor Simeon which is what Ohio State is doing.

Northwestern more worried about this game. But Northwestern really does not have a red zone offense. WIN

Michigan Michigan can stink it up, please witness Akron and U Conn. Their offense is not high powered. Beatable but the game is Ann Arbor, it is still a loss.

Minnesota no worries, confirmed WIN

Iowa Michigan State showed that you can stuff their running game. If Michigan State can move the ball on Iowa, Nebraska can. Not as worried as I was about Iowa last week. WIN

Michigan State Somehow, Michigan state moved on Iowa. But I am still not convinced they have an offense. Michigan State does have a defense. A little more worried about this game. Game in Lincoln, WIN.

Purdue WIN

Penn State No idea what is going on there. Indiana destroyed them. Is a good offense too much for them? Possibly, a little more confident in this game. But Nebraska needs to look good on the road to help me out. I still vote a loss.

Linebackers still seem mostly invisible during the game. Gregory is a beast. Still looking for the starting 4th defensive back. Randle and Ankrah are still Randle and Ankrah.

FOUR ILLEGAL SUBSTITUTIONS ON THE DEFENSE. I do not think I have ever seen more than two, by one team, in any college game ever. Usually, the coaches get that ironed out real quick. Not Papuchis though, he just kept being idiotic.

FIRE PAPUCHIS NOW.

FIRE PAPUCHIS NOW.

Weren't 3 of them on their last TD drive? That was terrible sideline coaching.

Agreed on the legends being open, but I still have a hard time believing we'll win out and get in the CCG. We may get there, but we'll need help.

I thought after having two weeks to prepare for Illinois that we'd either see the same crappy defense or it would be vastly improved. Even though we saw some improvement, I still lean more towards the same crappy defense rather than vastly improved defense , so I have to believe we're going to drop one somewhere along the line.

And, also agreed on firing Papuchis now.

That the sad thing our divison is wide open

Seriously who wants it?

If our defense can get up to 40-50 overall rank defense we have a chance
But i don't wanna get slap by osu in the CC game

Not a single LB wants to step up and take the damn job. The DL really stepped up it's game against Illinois, compared to what it has done in the first 4 games (even Randle looked a little better, still not like a starter but better). If they can keep taking steps forward like that we might get this turned around yet. All we need is 2 LBs to step up and learn to fill the damn holes. Where was Zaire today? I honestly don't remember him playing a single snap. Afalava and M. Rose looked good at times, but other times would fill the wrong holes and couldn't get off blocks, plus that late hit penalty by Afalava was just stupid. Santos repeatedly missed his hole (or at least to me it seemed like he missed his hole, maybe someone else was way off and I'm just blaming him because he was unblocked).

Tackling seemed better. Off the top of my head I can only remember a couple of tackles that should have been made.

The penalties at the end, I actually didn't care about. It was garbage time. It was poor coaching, but didn't really matter. I'd really like to know what Bo was yelling at JP about at the end of the game. Man, he looked pissed. Wish I could read lips.

Offensively, I thought it was the wind screwing up Tommy's throws. Going with it, he was sailing them high and then going into it, stuff was coming out low. I couldn't believe Cross fumbled, Newby too. I didn't think they were that big of hits, just guys getting a little lazy with the ball.

Stanford up by 10

Washington fighting tho

Gotta say Stanford defense is nice oregon gonna have their hands full
And they could handle just about most of these sec teams ESP since we've been witnessing some big12 like scores in the sec

You do realize we play Northwestern the week before... Pretty sure we will learn a whole lot then.
