They fired Joerger on the 11th, Luke and the Lakers "mutually agreed to part ways" on the 12th and it seemed like the "Luke to the Kings" rumors started within minutes of that.

I would care less about the competiton and more of how they are losing and throw in the eye test.

They lose by 30 to the Suns. Seems like the Suns have really found their way early in this season but cmon....30 points.

Saw a little better performance vs the Blazers, who we thought they were in a sense.

Then you lose by 30+ again to the Jazz..they were a borderline playoff team last year...they should be competing better than this.

Again, they go back to normal and they compete against a great Nugs team.

Now they lose to the Hornets (who in my defense isn't nearly as bad as I thought looking at their roster) but still, that is game they need to win and win easily imo.

It isn't going to get easier playing in the west, if they keep losing to below average teams and not competing vs the best...they are looking at another top 10 pick.

I like the hire, quite honestly. Imo Luke really didn't get a fair shot here...

He really didn't - Could have made better decisions - but that is on the management for not helping him make better choices in hiring assistant coaches. Magic Johnson should have had private discussions with Luke and empowered him to make better choices

No, you couldn't be a contender... Nor the (admittedly bad) coaching stuff is is the main issue with the Kings...

The Kings have a nice talented roster with good depth, what they luck is a true leader in the starting roster that will be able to curry the team on his shoulders.

IMO, the biggest mistake they can do is to try and keep everybody and therefore block the team financially so that they won't be able to ever sign (and pay) a true leader...

Best chance the Kings have IMO, is to trade Bogdanovic now they can and try to get a team leader in return. They won't be able to get a leader that is a top name, so they have to settle on a "lesser" name... Why not Hayward or Vucevic or even Griffin?
