Springer feels like a calculate long shot opportunity on a frame that has motor and tenacity and a moveable contract

But they will not be able to aggregate anymore

So if you trade him it’s for a guy making less than him

At worst, he’s a depth guard who can play elite level NBA on ball defense. I wish Nurse used him more out of stop actions in the last two minutes of halves and quarters playing offense/defense. His form isn’t ugly. I think he just needs a tweak and get reps in the lab and he can get to 36-37% from 3 in short time. I feel like the Sixers wasted much of their opportunity to develop.

It’s hard to develop guys on good teams

There’s a reason Hauser developed on the g league

He probably played a style of G League game though that translated to his projected NBA role though I bet.

Yeah guards can do whatever in the g league

It’s why I’d rather the nba take over minor-league ball rather than the ncaa

At the All-Star Break...
  • 43-12 overall record (best in the NBA)
  • Breakdown is 26-3 at home, 17-9 on the road
  • 5th in offensive ppg with 120.7 average scored
  • 5th in defensive ppg with 110.6 average allowed
  • 1st in rebounding with 47.3 rpg
  • 2nd in blocks with 6.49 bpg
  • 6th in 3pt FG% at 38.0%
The 1st in rebounding really jumps out. The C's are a similar-but-somewhat-better iteration of themselves otherwise. I think it really helps that Tatum and Brown are into their full manhood at this point in their career... with our big guards and big wings we can gang rebound better than basically any other team in the NBA.

They are underachieving on both ends of the court….

They should be better defensively.

I would like to see their stats in crunch time games. That’s been there problem in the playoffs

There not 5 teams with more talent on either side of the ball

But yes, slow down hero ball in crunch time is an issue

From the Athletic:

The Celtics. Yes, East-leading Boston has been trending upward all season long. The Celtics have won eight straight games, hold a 7.5-game lead over the second-place Cavaliers and are on pace to win 65 games, which would be the fourth-most in team history. This team has the highest margin of victory in franchise history, even higher than the 2008 champs (66-16) and 1986 champs (67-15). Could it be the most dominant Celtics team ever?

Celtics are having a great season... they also have a superb W-L record against winning teams... really dynamite stuff...

... that said: it's Championship or bust this season... the way we end is that only thing that's gonna matter.

The maturity of this team finally seems to be catching up to the talent

If you rotate on defense expect a dagger 3. If you stay man o man it’s a drive to the rack. They have a formula. Most importantly they have a dagger mentality. Don’t just beat them. Humiliate them. Don’t take any team for granted

Props to Horford for seemlessly be Porzys back up need as we rest up some.

Need more Xman time as he we acquired with one job in my mind (Jokic)

It was kinda frustrating watching the Joker do whatever he wanted no matter who was guarding him.

Yeah... he's pretty good. ;)

Wouldn't helped if we made our FT's, though.
