Dotson showed well as a rookie and if he can adjust to the league adjustments they made for him , he will be ok
Adding another WR threat to the group also opens things up for him, giving him a much better chance to become everything that he teased us with in year one.Don’t sleep on Dotson. After a tremendously successful rookie campaign, his second season was quite the slump but with a new QB and a new system, hopefully his career is revived.
i agree that getting another wr would help but do i have to give up draft picks to do it instead of simply waiting for him to hit the FA market next year sign boyd to a deal this year if wr is needed . . why are we so hell bent on giving up resources for one year rentals ? there are no sign and trades in the NFL because of the hard cap . you risk losing a high pick for one years worth of play and you would still be in the same boat again the following yearAdding another WR threat to the group also opens things up for him, giving him a much better chance to become everything that he teased us with in year one.

Thanks, good conversation but, I'm done with the Tee Higgins talk, it's time for me to move on.i agree that getting another wr would help but do i have to give up draft picks to do it instead of simply waiting for him to hit the FA market next year sign boyd to a deal this year if wr is needed . . why are we so hell bent on giving up resources for one year rentals ? there are no sign and trades in the NFL because of the hard cap . you risk losing a high pick for one years worth of play and you would still be in the same boat again the following year

i gave you the bulls eye.In defense of Maye, this is an unfair comparison. While the visuals are stark in their differences,we have very little context supporting the premise.
just throwing it out there Sty , i agree with your response thoughIn defense of Maye, this is an unfair comparison. While the visuals are stark in their differences,we have very little context supporting the premise.
He has the physical measurables but the most important part of him comes from his ability to change or not change ingrained bad habits in favor of the tools that will make him successful. That said, New England, specifically Robert Kraft and Head Coach Jerod Mayo will be under tremendous pressure to play him immediately. We, all are familiar with this arrangement that they now face with Jacoby Brissett supposedly battling it out with the rookie for that starter's nod.I mean you can look at Maye and see he can be Justin Herbert, i just think Maye needs some time and won't be solid right away. But long term either with the pats or not, i think he becomes a franchise guy

Last year, many here, took positions ranging from " If Howell can't beat out Brissett then..." TO "Howell must be given the QB1 job in order to..." The Patriots must learn from our handling of this and make it clear that Maye will absolutely not start until he's ready to play. Don't play those silly games mentioned above and stay resolute in your quest to handle this guy properly despite all pressures... real and imagined.
So, a word of caution to the New England Patriots, starting Maye immediately doesn't give him the best chance to become the next Herbert type, he is not quite ready for that and there's work yet to be done to properly prepare him. However, if you do start him don't be surprised if he's not Herbert but more like Mitch Tribusky!
Just OTAs but I like what I have seen and am looking forward to seeing him in preseason game(s.)Looking at Daniels early , and it’s early , but what I am seeing is a guy who could be a trailblazer. A qb with elite running ability who is actually a passer first and relies on his passing
