cmon man. Wentz played better defenses. You said yourself he will be back in 2 weeks i liked the post
No, I said RR will go back to him when Wince is given the OK to resume playing. That's not an endorsement of Wince. I'd prefer he not see the field again. You're enamored with Wince's strong arm. I am not. The NFL boneyard is littered with QBs with big arms. Who can throw a football 50 0r 60 yards through a hurricane. Haskins, George, Wince...they are all basically the same player. Big arms with very little of anything else that's required to be a successful NFL QB. In fact of all the traits needed to be a successful NFL QB. Having a big arm is well down the list. Accuracy, timing, awareness, cool under pressure, a certain level of swagger/a belief in one's self that you are the man. All those and more are more important. Wince doesn't have enough of any of those traits.

If the sale doesn't go through unto March do you guys see them changing the coach etc. that late? I guess Bezos could do some work behind the scenes before to be ready to move quickly.

Hell, I wanted the trade to be a success. With Wince playing at a level that he would warrant serious consideration for Comeback Player of the Year. That's what I was hopeful would happen. The reality of the situation though is far different and I see no point in continuing to hope a sqaure peg will somehow fit in a round hole.

I'm ready to see Howell, been ready for that. I don't see it happening though. RR is not gonna put his fate in the hands of a 5th rd rookie.
Pretty much how I felt. Instead of rooting against the guy all year I hoped it would work out. It was a long shot but so was TH. I would like to see Howell too. I am not 100% sold on any QB coming out. We'll see.

The team is different with TH b/c teh defense is playing a hell of alot better

No fascination, I jsut think he is the better QB

No I do not.

No, but i think we can get 9.

RR took a big step back this year IMO from a Coaching stand point,. Now that the team will be sold of course he isnt coming back unless whe goes on a huge winning streak.
I almost think he is gone no matter what because the new owner will want his handpicked person to run the show. Except a SB of course.

Unless the team wins the Super Bowl or makes a deep run, any new owner would want a fresh start right? I think Rivera the GM is more on the hot seat than Rivera the coach.
I mean Rivera's history is not that great and his tenure here has been a failure at this point. The team has 6 games left against division leaders or top conference teams (Dallas and nyg).
I agree that 9 wins is on the table. That would mean going 5-3 the rest of the way. I think losses to the eagles and cowboys are givens and I think we have a chance to split with the giants. However, I don't see a win against the 49ers at all. I still feel good about 8 wins.

I am kind of proud of the team today. The D played great. Except for the short field they only gave up 13. You can't win with a QB who only throws for 100 yards not counting the lucky 49 yard TD pass to Samuel.

Not advocating they could have won with Wentz.

Hopefully if the sale happens in the next year or two this team has a much better QB.

It’s clear TH isn’t an NFL starting QB. But, damn, at least he is exciting. What is the point of playing wentz? He wouldn’t do much better. He can make more throws, but TH makes more plays. In fact, I like the idea of giving Howell some reps Later in the season. Let’s find out what we have under live fire Before the draft.

Absolutely TH is exciting and the fans love him. Schlereth made a good comparison today that he reminds of Billy Kilmer. Not the greatest talent but guts to the max. I would like to see Sam play some.

No doubt Rr and company is gone no matter what. Thats why I believe he going to go back to the guy he handpicked this offseason in Wentz. What does RR care about the 2nd round pick now that the team will be sold? There is no way in hell the new owners will keep TH around. So really the season starts in 2 weeks. I can't see us beating the Eagles. I think he gives Wentz a shot at 4-6 and see what he can do.

I'm done with wince. he only sees the field if TH gets injured if it was upto me. Disclaimer: not an endorsement of TH as a full time starter.

I think this game put us one step closer to Howell and it should. The defense deserves better than this

Wentz has played way better teams than TH and the defense has played better with TH. Not a fair comparison. I want to see if Wentz can get us to 6-6. If not go to Howell. IF we are 6-6 going into the two Giants games and Wentz wins both Giants games to get us to 8-6, then yes I want him to start the whole year.

Who gives a fuck if Wentz played far better teams? He was 2-4 against those teams.
He was not good against those teams. He sucked against those teams, frankly.

He screwed up the titans game singlehandedly

He also is making $28million to not go 2-4 against those teams.

Fuck that guy. Bad trade all the way around.

Bench his ass until he costs us a third, and roll with TH, who at least is more entertaining to watch.

If the redskins are going to miss the playoffs again, with shitty coaching from a lame duck coaching staff, might as well watch Mr NoodleArm Fantastic grit out a few more wins rather than mr stonehead Gingy-Spice.

Rick Snyder is absolutely right. Scott Turner should’ve had plays already ready for TH under this eventuality anyway.

Good coaches make their system fit their players, not the other way around. William Jackson was a man corner, not a zone corner. JDR shouls have put him on an island to maximize his strengths.

It is literally not that hard. It’s time consuming, sure, but not that hard.
